I Killed a Pigeon

I feel just awful. I've never hit anything with my car....ever. I'm the type of person that would rather total my car than hit a bunny rabbit or squirrel. Yesterday I was driving with somebody in an "urban" area. I was maybe going 5-10 mph. I remember seeing something white on the street, but because of where we were, I assumed it was garbarge and continued driving. All of the sudden I hear a "POP!" and my friend was like, "Benz, I can't believe you ran over that pigeon!" I look in the rearview mirror, and sure enough, there are feathers everywhere. I couldn't believe it. Don't these birds fly away when they see these big, loud cars coming towards them?

If it makes you feel any better my brothers exgirlfriend ran over a kitten on a highway and almost had a nervous breakdown.

Even though it was an animal atleast it was just a pigeon. They are flying rats afterall.

City pigeons seriously don't give a shit anymore. You can seriously walk up to them and kick them and they'll just turn around and keep walking. They willl wait till the very last second to move out ofthe way of oncoming traffic... and sometimes they just aren't quick enough.
Don't worry though. They're filthy filthy beings... And the fact that it POPPED and feathers were everywhere is absolutely hilarious.

I used to work for this mafioso guy that owned the bayside marina. So we're out fixing the pier and this pidgeon wont fly away from this guy. It kept coming back, I think it was trying to get into a nest under the pier, but anyway. The guy gets pissed! He normally does get pissed 5-6 times a day. Well that damn pidgeon met his maker cause this guy put a mafia hit on this poor thing. First he kicked it across the dock then like a madman he cased after it with a hammer and beat it to a bloody, feather flying pulp. He then kicked what was left of the thing into the water and chucked the hammer like 50 ft into the water. He turned around and said if anyone says anything they will be sleeping next to the pidgeon.

That was my last summer job at the bayside marina

I hit a bird with my old truck once. I looked in the rear view mirror expecting to see a cloud of feathers but there were none so I thought I missed it. A few days later, I noticed a piece of bird hanging down from beneath the truck. I checked it out and there was the bird (a robin) wedged up in front of the radiator. Fun time getting it pried out of there.

I hit a squirrel once. I tried to get out of its' way, but it kept changing direction & darted at the last minute. I went right over it, hoping to straddle it, but because it was in full stride I heard a definitive KLUNK under my car & assumed it must have been squirrel skull. Looking in the rearview I saw the poor little guy still trying to run with its' back leg, but the upper half was still, so it was pretty much funning in a circle. I felt bad.
