Get out of here we play Spades all the time. Spades is the card game of juvenile delinquints. Spades is a damn sport and there is no other card game that comes close. Its the only card game where its expected that you know how to cheat.

1st it was me who was talking to Ron and Fez at the time and I made the comment. I don't see that many kids playing cards at all. I was playing cards since I was in kindergarten. My grandmother and I would play cards all of the time (Canasta, Gin Rummy, Rummy 500, and poker).

Playing card and board games is so much better for these kids then video games, because it teachers the kids how to interact with each other. These kids need to put down the controllers and go outside and play. Now you ask a kid who their best friend is and they will say " X Box, playstation, or there tv set"

My youngest daughter loves to play cards... taught her Casino a few weeks back when we were on vacation. It equates to some quality time when we play. She taught me some game called 'spit' a few months back but i forgot it already.

It seems kids would rather play cards with adults more than other kids. I think they love the feeling of beating a grown-up...

Hearts...

Stephen King's Hearts In Atlantis is a bunch of stories, and that Shit Sandwish of a movie ignored the rest of the book, and the second part is about a group of college freshmen during the Viet Nam war who start playing Hearts casually, and it snowballs until guys are on complete insomnic missing all their classes just to play Hearts for a nickel a point or something. And that game is so simple in it's rules, but again, for some, totally addicting.

And yes, cards teach so much stuff to the brain; probablilities and statistics, pattern recognition, game theory, and a shit load of others.

Plus how cool is it to be able to pull off a one hand cut, or shuffle as badass as I do. I'll even David Blaine your ass with cards tricks that No one can figure.

Really? That sounds awful.
So, how many of the kids you asked said that?
