This has probably been asked already, but I can't find it easily...How much time is left in Ron and Fez's infinity contracts? Can they get out early? Would they make the switch to XM to be on the OnA channell?

Their contract goes to 3017 depending on whether Fez can be turned into an android.

so, of R&F joined the O&A channel, would we have to pay another $2?

R&F's last contract ended in June of this year. Presumably, they recently signed a new contract, because being syndicated to Baltimore and Tampa was most likely contingent on R&F being under contract with Infinity. I have not seen the length of that contract reported publicly anywhere.

Have they spoke about it at all on the show? I am in NY and obviously cant hear them anymore. I will be moving to Fla soon, but to the east coast, So Tampa radio won't be an option. This is why Sat radio would be ideal...

If they ever go to satellite, it'd be nice if they didn't have to subject themselves to someone else's channel.

Considering how well OnA and Ron and Fez got along so well, I don't think it would be any problem. Plus the channel is not going to be called the OnA channell or anything like that, It's just that OnA have say over the content on it.

It'd still smack of them having to follow O&A.

AFRO was cool, but them following O&A around at this point would just seem kinda pathetic.

Their potential audience between DC, Balmer and Tampa has got to be twice what would be waiting for them on satellite, even if they didn't charge people extra for their show.

I agree with Mojo - it would be really pathetic if R&F followed Opie and Anthony - Ron and Fez have been doing this about 10 years long than O&A, and (in my opinion) are better at it. The only way they would go on the "O&A channel" is if THEY got fired from Infinity and were shunned by everyone else - and that's not going to happen.

It doesn't mean they won't end up on satellite one day - as Ron said on the air on Thursday, if Viacom bought a satellite company, or went into business with one and then decided to distribute local shows also over the net, then that could be the way to go. That's why Viacom and Infinity are going to watch closely how well O&A do.

Other than that - it is my opinion that R&F do not want out of a contract that they just signed a couple of months ago that has already tripled their markets, and has eliminated the need to record two shows a day.
