All I wanted is one beer and to watch the game

So after work I decided to head over to the bar next door and have ONE beer. I walk in and there pre-season football going on and I figured Ok Ill stay for a bit 2 beers the most. Now that I sae Denver was playing I really wanted to watch the game. Soon after I sat down this guy comes up in his wheelchair. So Being polite I move a few stools out of the way. Next thing I know hes making converstaion with me. Now the bar is kinda loud with the game going on and people so it was hard to hear. Ontop of that this guy coulndt speak all too well. At first I thought he was drunk. Soon after getting to know him I learned he was in a motorcycle acident when he was in the airfore and in a coma for 2 months. Not to mention paralized from the legs down. Honest to god I felt bad for the guy. He has a wife and kids and he said as much as his wife is good ti him as far as helping him out she's a pain in the ass. Then ontop of telling me about his accident, he told me he had cancer <b>" THREE TIMES DOWN THERE"</b> Im like HOLY SHIT. Ontop of all that he was telling me how his short term memory is gone. He can remember what he did 10 years ago but cant remember what he do 5 seconds ago. I asked him if he had friends or family he said only family and that Im the only freind he met so far. I swaer to you this made my heart sink. He said he cant spell or read that well since hos accident and to give me my email so he can write me. He couldnt even understand it when I worte it thinking "LL" was 11 I told him about five times that its LL. Honestly I just felt bad for the guy. He had cancer 3 times DOWN THER in hos life. and scary as it sound and wrong as it sounds he honeslty told me all he has is his "twig but no berries" <p><p><p>Honeslty I dont know what this post means I think I have a whole new outlook on those who are less fourtunate than us
