I got accused of stealing

To give you a little background..There's an Exxon by my house that I used to go to every morning. It's owned by Arabs..not that there's anything wrong with that but these guys FREAK me out. They flirt with me in an inappropriate way every time. One day the guy behind the counter grabbed my wallet out of my hands and took out my liscence. He was asking me where i lived and how to say my last name. And of course I just smiled and took my stuff back. He used to always ask me to come in and see him. And wants to know why don't I come around as much as I used to. Um maybe cause you're a scary evil man that stares at my breats and rips things out of my hands?

Well last night I need gas and figured I could stop there real quick. I gave the guy $10 up front and said $10 reg. please. After he stopped staring at my tits he took my money. After my tank was full he came over asking me for the money. I thought he was joking. I said...I just gave it to you.. He says No missy you didnt. He says he would NEVER take money beforehand. We proceeded to argue for 5 minutes. I KNOW I gave him the money. The man was screaming at me. I was seriously scared. I told the guy "You'll see, I'm right" and took off. I am never going back.

[edit] I just remebered some more conversations Ive had with this guy. My school is right across the street. He wants to know what time I'm there and on what days. Then he wants to know what days of the week I work and when I'll be leaving. That's not normal convenient store chatter, is it?

Obviously thses guys aren't Arabs, they're Turks. That's an easy, honest mistake to make. Anyway, what you have stolen is his heart and he accused you of stealing because he wants to get you into his Turkish Prison.

Youre like the 10th person I know to have told a story like this in the last 3 weeks. Maybe its some sort of conspiracy all the gas station attendants are doing. They all had a meeting one night and decided to start ripping people off.

Anyway this has happened to me once. I paid for something, then started to put the stuff i bought in a bad and leave and they accused me of stealing. I knew i had given them the money. The manager came over and it was this whole big thing. They closed the register and counted the money out. I was correct, and got 50% off for my trouble. well worth while.

BTW, I always use credit cards at gas stations to make sure this never happens.

A friend of mine has a similar problem with a 7-11 flunkie. She would stop in the 7-11 near the landromat she used (after she got off the night shift) and had a friend who came with her from time to time (the friend is a little "special"). They would hang out there for a while while her laundry was going.

When she left her job, she used a different laundromat closer to home, but the friend one day stopped off at the 7-11, and the guy asked about her. The friend called her, and the guy obviously copied down the number, because he's called her several times at home (usually late at night) asking when she's going to stop in and see him. She hasn't called him back or gone back to the store since, and hopefully the guy will get the hint.

i moved away and came back 2 years later and they were still gross and wierd and remembered me... to the point of asking where my green ford taurus was.

i suspect alot of these foreign men have the idea in their head that "american girls are easy"... you might as well put a couple of hard hats and work boots on these guys... going to this gas station is probably like walking past a construction site... next time call 911 and tell them you are being harrassed... let the cops come but decide at the last minute to not file a complaint... then use a different station

my wife is Syrian and I remember speaking with her brother who was older than me 'before we got engaged' and he made a comment that she was 'not like an american girl'... i took offense to it and he knew it. turns out he's a great guy and i couldn't have a better brother-in-law, he would make every effort to help you when you need it...

To be honest with you G....it sounds like these guys are up to some really no good tactics.They strike me as the kind of people who would think nothing of forcing themselves on you. If they take the license out of your hands while you are holding your wallet without asking to see it 1st, sounds REALLy fishy to me. I would seriously just avoid that place at any cost. I do not blame him for staring at your body but I would maybe report them to the police or something. Have someone look into it.
