my late 20's sucked, and i'd always dreaded turning 30, but once i turned 29, i saw it as ending one chapter in my life and beginning a new one. and it's worked out so far. i never thought i'd hear myself say that so far, my 30's are so much better than my mid-late 20's.

I turn 32 in 5 days and can honestly say that I probably should have torn more up in my 20's other than weeds and old flower beds.

On the other hand, I've found that the more I try to "have fun" or "tear it up", the more work it becomes and what should be enjoyed naturally turns in to a chore.

It's like the guy who says, I'm going to go out and get trashed tonight. He spends some much time worrying about consuming enough booze that he doesn't enjoy the actual process.

Wow so many August B-Days; Lions and Virgins everywhere.

I hit 41 last Monday [belated thanx noted, none necesary, this is about IAmNotATool].

No worries on hitting 30; thats more a psychological hit you'll experience next year.

My opinion; you dont hit the 40s, the 40s hit you. Ouch. I am falling apart. I'm doing the Lester Burnham lifting weights trying to be young again thing. Where can I score some of that G-13?

And as everyone else said; looking back; I'd be fucking everything in sight at 29. I was doing OK, but I turned down one or two, and looking back its like, what was the reason I wasnt boning her senseless for hours again???

Oh yea great...one person who is 29 and the other who is 30 and they think life is over for them. SUCK MY NUTS YOU TWO! (just kidding) Jesus I am 34, does that mean I am an old fart? And what about Funk? He is even older then I am, along with many other....oh boo hoo you turned 29, you look great, are in great health and seem to be living a pretty good life. I would say you should start to worry when you turn 70, not 30. Shit your life is not even 1/3 over yet. The best is yet to come!!!

"Come on Birthday Boy, I'm taking you out for lunch," I smiled and led him by the hand down the corridor towards the door.
