Having been at the Vos/Nrton/Staples show, they should take all the contestants, fill the place with AFRO Fans, hell while I'm thinking have Ron and Fez host it and have O+A as guest judges, and bring those peeps out one at a time to deal with that audience.

Who else was there? It really was something out of a Bosch painting. Seven steps to hell. I mean the most unbridled hecking Ive ever seen. I cant even cll it heckling. It was more out of the 'Ass to Ass!' scene in Requiem.

One of three things should have happened:

1) The producers should've told the other team that Ralphie is immune and, therefore, he is in-eligible to perform.

2) Ralphie should've sucked it up and did his normal act.

3) Ralphie should've backed out of the competition.


Any way you look at it...a comedy show simply is not the place for a grown man to openly grieve over the death of his father.
And after a (touching) display of emotion, you certainly can't yell "THE SHOW MUST GO ON" into the mic. The show DIDN'T go on.
Now the enitre vote will be skewed due to sympathy...even though he would've beaten Tammy anyway.

Season 3 should not be a "Best Of" considering they've only had two seasons, that's lame. I'd like to see new comics battle it out in season 3, they should have had Dane Cook perform because he would have easily won a 3rd season with different comics.

Ross is always funny. I thought the funniest there was Gary Goldman. I had to pause the Tivo because I was laughing so hard. When he said, "Folks, one last joke, Ralphies overweight" and then he did the joke about eating wanda sykes, I laughed my ass off.

I liked Vos's joke when he said Dat Phan recently had an MRI done and they could could not find a funny bone in his body. I have to admit Gary was the funniest he has been in 2 seasons. I liked Jay's joke about Tess having to wear white gloves to eat tootsie rolls.

I think I might have said this before but in case I didn't......I've seen Gary open for Dane Cook before and the man is too fucking funny. The best line last night came when he said, "Dat Phan desperatly wanted to come up here and roast Jay Mohr, but unfortunately Jay doesn't speak with a Vietnamesse accent." I couldn't stop laughing. I'm really pushing for Gary to win this whole thing, he really deserves it. If not Gary then I'm pulling for Vos (even though I don't think Vos has a snowball's chance in hell of winning).

Last Comic Standing is cancelled!!! This is shocking news to me too. I woke up on Wednesday morning and recieved the news. NBC was not happy with the rating of the show and decided to pull the plug. Keep in mind there is only one episode left and on that episode we were going to ANNOUNCE THE WINNER! Amazing. Why would a network cancel a show with only one episode left? There is some back history that makes this more ridiculous. As Last Comic Standing 2 was wrapping up this summer, the network told us that they wanted a "hybrid version" of Last Comic to put on the fall schedule. They said that they simply didn't have enough shows for the fall slate and needed a quick fix. My partner Peter Engel as well as other producers like Barry Katz, Cori Fry, K.P. Anderson and my self thought that this was a bad idea. We argued that having a seperate version of Last Comic so soon after season 2 concluded would burn the audience out and damage the franchise. Well the network insisted we move forward and we came up with "LCS Battle of thge Best". Season 1 versus season 2 for a prize of 250 thosand bucks. (It seems like Fox hands out a million dollar prizes on its reality shows like its lunch). Last Comic Standing The Battle Of The Best hit the airwaves in the fall and guess what? The ratings were down. The ratings stayed pretty consistent all season with around eight million viewers but that didn't stop NBC from hitting the panic button. The biggest question I have is why would you wait until the final episode to pull the plug. I feel terrible for the comics. We had a great final four with Alonzo Bodden, Rich Vos, Dave Mordal (my favorite) and John Heffron. These four comics are not involved with network bussines or standards and practices but it is they who will suffer the most from this terrible decision by The Nation Broadcasting Company. I have to stop typing now because I have to go TiVo Father Of The Pride.

NBC ran the entire mini-season and then they bailed 24 hours before they had to cough up the prize money. That's just plain cheezy.
