I talk over people.

I have this habit that I didn't realize how bad it was til I heard myself on the radio.

For some reason, I have a really bad habit of talking over people in coversations. If there's an uncomfortable pause, I start to say something and then I accidentally step on the toes of someone who had the original statement.

Every time I call into R&F I do it unintentionally, and I sound like a complete asshole.

The problem is, I recognize it, but for some reason, I don't know how to stop it.

i guess self restraint may help you- i know it may sound dumb but try practicing it- mayeb when you are in a convo at work or whatever and when you feel awkward silence part happen...just let it be silent- let someone else break it up
