another broken bone

i was leaving work, going to my car in the parking lot, and i tripped and fell to the ground. i heard a crack, but was hoping it was my cell phone. but i couldnt walk on my foot or anything. so i call mommy and stepdaddy and they take me to the er. 41/2 hours later, i was diagnosed with a fractured right foot. i have crutches, and i look like such a retard trying to walk with them. the timing just sucks...i started a new job and dont get insurance until november, plus i have to stay off my foot for a couple of days, which means i wont get paid. i'm told that since i fell at work, i should be qualified for worker's comp. can anyone verify?
but, i guess it could have been worse. there were 2 young people that came into the er. one was a teen who was declared brain dead in a motorcycle crash, and another girl (in her 20's) was killed in a car accident. my step dad had the pleasure of seeing her while waiting for me

i definitely won't need surgery. I compared my foot with the pic gina posted of hers, and hers is definitely much worse. i think that's the only thing that helped keep my sanity last night. i have to call one more dr today and see what they say. but for what i have, they pretty much just told me to stay off my foot. and my new boss is awesome...he's going to see if they can set me up to work from home

I'd check about workers comp.. I sliced my finger pretty good a while back and took 3 days off. After filling out tons of paperwork I found out I wasn't out long enough for comp. so I lost those days.
