What killed the X-files was that horrible movie. If it would have been done right there would have been 2 more.

Finshed Season 1 on DVD.  Awesome show.I've read everyone's frustration about the reruns.  I cannot wait for Wednesday and the premiere but I think we can rest easy that there will not be as many reruns as last year, because the show is a hit and they will be continuing to film new shows and not have to wait to hear if they'll be picked up for the season.Upset with the season finale?  C'mon - if they gave you all the answers what would be the point?  Sure, I want to know too, but it's that suspense which is fun and will keep me home Wednesday nights.  I love the numbers story - and I didn't see it mentioned here, but when Hurley is running to catch the plane in the finale, he passes a runs by a girls' soccer team.  Those numbers are on their jerseys.  And the exploding science teacher was a classic - you knew it was coming.... any second now!

there is a series bible that plots out the entire series and what all
the mysteries are.  Hopefully, they'll keep it to a finite number
of seasons because once the mysteries are solved, there's nothing left.

I just finished watching the whole season this weekend.Awesome show.I think the Jack/Sawyer/Kate triangle is similar to the Star Wars Luke/Han/Leia traingle.Bad boy versus Good Boy.On one of the DVD extras I belive the guy mentioned that they have the story streched out over 6 years.I'd bet that if support for the show died down within 3 years that they'd cut it short of their overall " plan ".All I know is there better be a damn dinosaur somewhere.Thats why I started watching it.

Which episodes did Locke see the "monster" I only remember that one time in the field, with the "Monster POV" shot of Locke. From that it was something tall (If I remember correctly)

I think it was the season finale where Locke saw it again.It grabbed him and tried to pull him down the hole.I did hear the machine sounds and like a train/factory wistle.Right away I though of the giant mechanical spider from the Wild Wild West movie with Will Smith.But if the thing was that tall how did it pull Locke down a small hole and whi did the puff of smoke creature take off ?What do you think happened the first time Locke saw the " thing " ?Why didnt it kill him ?

I don't know.  But the "smoke creature" and the "mechanical creature" seem to be one in the same. Here is a theory.  It involves the "Gaia" theory, that the Earth is a living organism.  Life is not something that happens on a planet, but rather to a planet.  I think that was the basis for the Final Fantasy movie in 2001.Perhaps this island is "alive" in some way and that "smoke creature" is it's physical representation of itself - eating pilots, uprooting trees and creating the "security system" that only Locke has saw.  Hell, it could be some kind of robot created from random pieces of wreckage/technology that has landed on the island.

Was it just me or was anybody else a little disappointed with the " pirates " in that last episode ?I thought that whole premise was pretty lame but hopefully it'll turn into something better.

I thought maybe they were the "others" and that boat seemed too small to have come from anywhere but the island.

You'd have to think they cam from the island, or an island, because they were Americans and as you say they couldnt have come from too far away in such a small boat.Do you think all 4 people will survive ?I can do w/out Michael but I like Sawyer, Jin and the little punk.

I'm sure they came from the Island. The Island itself is important to the whole story so I don't think it would be people from some other place.
