I Just Almost Died!

I'm thirsty so I decided to cross the street to the gas station to buy a soda. Now I live right on Francis Lewis Blvd. which is where all the "cool kids" come and "cruise the bully". They also like to drag race, starting on my corner...weekends I can barely sleep with all the peel outs and blasting rap music that shakes my walls. So anyway, I'm still shaking about this, so I'm crossing the street and as I'm crossing the light turns green, these 2 jack asses gun it. I mean they are about to hit 60 in 2 seconds and they are aiming right at me. I knew I couldnt make it across in time and DOVE towards the sidewalk. The wind of the passing cars blow my hat off. That's how close they were! They didnt swerve, they didnt honk, all they cared about was beating eachother to the next fucking light. I'm still shaking....

Born in Wales in 1713, Francis Lewis was partly educated in Scotland and then attended Westminster in England. He entered a mercantile house in London, and then came to New York to set up a business in 1734. He was taken prisoner and shipped to France while serving as a British mercantile agent in 1756. When he returned to America he became active in politics. He was elected to the Continental Congress in 1775, and served there for several years. He lost all of his property, on Long Island, New York, to the destruction of the Revolutionary war. He died on the thirty first of December, 1802.

Back when I used to run instead of being lazy and drinking beer, I was out in the my old neighborhood in Rockville. It's was basically commerical/industrial with one apartment complex which was mine. The road I was running along was 4 lanes, but should have been less, and there was no shoulder, just straight to the sidewalk. People drive an avarage of 15 miles faster than the speed limit. So I was running along the should and I tripped and fell into the road, literally. My head and shoulders were in the travel lanes. The only thing that saved me was the car that was driving on the curb lane was slowing down to make a turn.
