I gladly pay $3 a month to buddiesbuffet and was paying 3.99 or 5.99 to Live365. So, its not the money. Just feels like a rip off.

It's probably just me but it makes all that "faithful listener" stuff Opie used to say sound like bullshit. If these guys really cared about their listeners they would have figured out a way to do this without a premium charge.

If these guys really cared about their listeners they would have figured out a way to do this without a premium charge.
I'm not going to tell you that the $2/month didn't help them get bigger contracts, but a big part of the "premium channel" idea is that it is what allows them to be completely uneditted & unsanctioned by any outside power (FCC, etc.). They are covering themselves like the Playboy channel, that way they can be as filthy as they want & no one can use the old "my 5 year old tuned into their station and heard..." bullshit. If you subscribe to the service, then subscribe to the premium channel, the burden of censorship & protection of your children is on you.

Just food for thought.
