I go through these phases from time to time where I love coffee and can't get enough of it. Then out of nowhere I will just get sick of it and not have it for months. Usually during that time I get a hankering for tea. Though for whatever reason about two weeks ago I stopped wanting tea and now I'm buying coffee everyday after work. I don't understand though why I get cravings for coffee and then I'll want nothing to do with it. I don't know maybe it's a seasonal thing or something.

i have a servere addiction to caffeine ... i drink not for a buzz or pick me up, but not to crash and get pounding headaches ...

during the summer, i switched from dunkin donuts large coffe to a three shots of esspresso iced from starbucks ... now that it's cooler out, i can't go back to DD because the caffiene isn't the same ... i have to drink more starbucks to maintain ...

of all the things in life, and i'm a coffee/caffiene junky ...

sometimes i feel i'm getting too wired and switch to tea... the only problem with tea is it is not 'instant' and waiting that minute or two to wait for the water to extract the tea is a minute or two too long

I can only drink coffee in the morning or late at night. Any other time just doesn't seem right unless it is really ass cold out there. No flavours for me though, just the half and half or cream and artificial sweetener. For some reason it just bothers me to go to a coffee shop and not be able to get regular. I got a Hamilton Beach BrewStation which has this whole dispenser thingy on it and have really gotten hooked on Chase & Sandborn which tastes just like diner coffee. Good stuff.

Lagwagon also said it best:

Mr. Coffee

Morning has broken
MR. Coffee has spoken
The familiar wake-up call
sings to my ears
I wake up with a shrug
To the floor with a thud
Where in this hellhole is my coffee mug?
I can now face the day
on legal speed (The American way)
I'm sketching
I'm seizing
I'm spazing
I'm shaking
I can not stop spilling on my brand new shirt
I-I-I'm wired
I'm so inspired
I drank the entire pot
so off to work
Here I come to save the day
on legal speed (The American way)
Drinking coffee
I drink coffee
Drinking coffee everyday

Coffee is all about maintaining at this point. Sad, but I can't remember the last time coffee got me wired. I never get to the point where I'm sick of coffee, but I will occasionally slip back and forth between hot and iced coffee.

I think coffee is disgusting unless it's lukewarm or chilled.

That bitter taste it leaves in your mouth is gross.

One day, before a 12 hour at work, I had all of one hour of sleep. I needed something. So I made myself a quad shot of espresso and gulped it down. It worked beautifully.
