My primary hard drive decided to start dying on me, though I was able to make a backup as well as an image of the drive using Acronis True Image. I really am hoping that this takes well to the new drive. I formated the drive and I'm using the recovery wizard to restore the image. I'm just hoping that when all is said and done that this will be working. Luckily I had a spare hard drive of the same size from when my secondary drive died a few months ago and Samsung replaced it. I just want to get this up and working until I can do a true reinstallation.
Is there any trick to this program after the image is restored? This is the first time I've used this thing, in the past I've used Ghost. Just curious if anyone has experience with this program.

i have only used ghost, but let me know how it turns out. should be pain free, especially with a drive of the same size.

Oh my GOD! I think it did it!
It was a little creepy at first because I couldn't really tell which drive it wanted to send the image to (the primary or the backup), but it appears that I did it right. This is awesome!

This morning when I went to start my computer the new hard drive would not start up. I don't understand this. I tried changing the power cables on it and nothing would get it to start up. Any idea what is wrong? Could the power supply need to be replaced?
I mean the second hard drive died before and now I have a new one. Then the primary one just died and I replace it with a backup that I had. Now that one isn't working. I'm wondering if it's a power supply issue.
