I signed up to become part of the NYPD

Last Thursday I signed up to do something I always wanted to do. This makes me feel good that i'm giving back to others and will be very helpful.

I want to work my way up and become highly respected and make as much money as I can ( and hopefully watch a Yankee game for free every now and then).

I want to seek any knowledge from those who can offer on what I can look foward to.

I almost went into the NYPD. My father, my grandfather, and a good portion of my uncles were cops in the city. I didn't go because the money sucked, I just couldn't see myself surviving on what they make, so I went into the DOJ.

When are you going into the academy?

Anyway my wife is in the academy right now and its not easy. Just getting in was a pain in the ass, and now its constant work with instructors berating you the whole time. I get the feeling your a chubby lad if thats the case start running now or you will never pass the physical requirements to get in.
