I used to be very generous with christmas gifts (college and right after), but these days it's pretty much my immediate family (3), plus one really good friend (1), and then I usually get something for my three godsons (3) - in recent years, since the boys have gotten older and they often get what they want when they want it, I just give them a gift certificates to Best Buy. This year I am giving the oldest one's girlfriend (1) one, because she is part of the family at this point.

I buy gifts for all of my friends that are girls, but me and my guy friends don't buy each other anything ever. We claim it's because it's 'kind of gay' but really it's because we don't have enough money to spend on so many people, so the gay thing is a great excuse to cut people off your list.
