Today, God hit me with a garbage can.

Well I like to post my lifes many misfortunes and mishaps, but today I think God just needed a laugh.

So I'm walking my route in this extremely windy day. I have an arm full of magazines for the block and a hand full of letters. I get the mail into the tiny fucking door slots that drive me fucking nuts all God damn day...but that's another post for another day. Anyway I turn to walk down the 3 steps to continue with the rest of the block when the wind picks up to about 50 mph. In the corner of my eye I see this thing wobbling in the air coming straight for me. I didn't even get a chance to really see what it was before my first instinct kicked in and I throw my arm up to protect my face. This of course causes letters and magazines to fly at least 10 feet in the air and drift off down the block. It must have looked like I exploded when the garbage can hit me. I didn't get hurt at all, but I was chasing letters for a good 5 minutes. I don't even think I found them all, but that will be our little secret.

i accompanied my daughter to the Municipal Court this afternoon for her school project. when she got out of the car the wind blew a piece of paper she neede out of her hand and so i gave chase... don't think i ever ran the 200 yard dash so fast 'before i was able to step on the paper'...

my daughter starts laughing at me and tells me to look at my shoe. turns out i had buried my whole left foot in mud during my mad dash

people in the court were probably saying "look at that bum"
