Just in case someone wanted a serious response...

Plato wrote about Atlantis in The Republic; namely how the whole continent was destroyed and sunk beneath the sea.

Although long considered a myth, there may be some truth to the story. Therre is a Greek volcanic island called, Santorini. About 1500 BC, the volcano errupted and destroyed most of the island.

Before the eruption the island was over 2300 feet tall, but after the eruption the island collapsed onto itself and most sunk beneath the sea.

A Minoan settlement called Akroteri was located on the island. It was completely covered by volcanic ash during the eruption but archeologists have been able to retreive some artifacts from the settlement.

Santorini has had many names including "Thera," "Therasia,"and "Strongyle." Asia (obviously) is a continent today, and "Terra" now means "earth." Lastly, Strongyle means "round-one" and Plato describe Atlantis as a round continent in the shape of a circle with water inside, just like the island of Santorini.

Perhaps, this island become the continent of Altantis in legend, and its destruction started the legend of Altantis.
