If you are bitter at WNEW for dumping Ron and Fez, you have to find the clip of Frankie Blue drunk on the air, possibly cursing, on WNEW. It's just hilarious. O&A were having a good time with it today.

O&A have mentioned Ron & Fez a few times since they started on XM. They always have nice things to say about the boys.

I miss those old AFRO shows...

R&F should call o&a during their show or vice versa.

Yeah i heard that segment it was funny. thats what infinity deserves for cancelling OnA and moving RnF.

Also OnA mentioned that b/c wnew is and has been doing so bad that the guy in charge(michael sykes?) will be fired soon. And his replacement will be Joel hollander which according to OnA hes a cool guy and a friend of OnA.

This got me thinking that once this guy gets fired and this hollander guy takes over maybe hell make an effort to bring RnF back to NY or even back to Wnew.
Probly a long shot but since the only thing to work on Wnew in the last 3 years was OnA and Rnf it would make sense for them to bring RnF back. again a long shot but u never know.

A sign of things to come? On the O&A replay today during the intro song of the "What's in my pants" bit the O'l "HOO HA!" was played. Then Ant said "Oh Oh" and kept on with the bit... Will we hear from uncle RON and aunty FEZ on O&A anytime soon. Maybe a call back... One can dream can't he...

Ummm...they've been positive about Ron and Fez since before day 1. On the ungagged show they talked positively about Ron and Fez.

Ungagged... (http://www.xmradio.com/programming/channel_page.jsp?ch=202)

They spoke positively about Ron and Fez a few days after that, as well as when Larry "The Cable Guy" was in the studio as well. Perhaps it's not being noted here enough but at least 4 times I personally have heard Opie and Anthony make positive mention to Ron and Fez during their XM show. The two shows are friends. And yes, even Lil' Jimmy Norton is even positive about them as well.

Yerah i heard that and i thought maybe it was a secret message or just a mistake? who knows

But any way I love both RnF and OnA and i listen to Rnf about 1 hour a day thanks to S.U. and i am a proud subcriber to Xm/OnA and ive caught every show since they came back. And they have always been complimentary to RnF . They usually keep it short but its always positive.

I wish i would hear RnF say something positive about OnA (maybe they did and i missed it) But i think RnF dont comment for the same reason OnA keep their RnF comments short is b/c it would hurt RnF's standing with Infinity.

Given Infinity's position on O&A -- to pretend they never existed (see, for example, the way they apparently pulled the plug on R&F's Hard Rock remote when an "O&A" chant erupted when Anthony was in the room), I believe it's pretty much impossible for R&F to say anything about their relationship with O&A. I'm sure if they could, R&F would say good things about them.

You're right - it's doubtful that they will say anything more than an occasional comment. If you read between the lines (which, lord knows, I never do), they sometimes say things - they've talked about sat radio and their friends in front of and behind the mics; every once in awhile there's a reference to Norton; last week they remembered the "O&A Kid"; and even, in the last couple of weeks, jokingly referred to an "Your Mom's Box" show. And didn't they also recently talk smack about Stern and his gag order against O&A and Don and Mike?

They have also mentioned that they have been in this business long enough to know that everything comes around, sometimes more than once, and that they have often found themselves working with old buddies again.

All of that said, R&F do not look backwards - the show is always a changin'. There may even be some dominos at play with Infinity that will really bolster their situation with the company, and reduce the likelihood of them jumping from terestrial radio for XM, or Sirius, exclusively.

They play well with others - the fact that they and Don and Mike have mended their relationship is pretty major, not to mention their "mentoring" (my word, not theirs!) of new talent like The Hideout, is also a positive sign that they appear to be in good shape with the company.

If Infinity does decide to broker some sort of deal to get their content heard on satellite as well, much like Air America or ESPN radio does, I belive Ron and Fez have more than earned that right to be a part of that.

As far as Ron and Fez friendship with O&A are concerned I think O&A don't need to hear them make compliments of them. I think it's understood that there is a mutual respect. O&A have much more freedom to be honest about the whole deal and their comments about R&F than Ron and Fez currently are. Perhaps one day they will be able to, though I don't think it's necessary.

it would still be great to hear them on xm, ron and fez put on a great show and even if you rebroadcast it on xm (minus commercials of course).

i think alot of people would be tuning in from word of mouth, plus opie and anthony pluggin the show for the boys no doubt.

im a long time lurker, but new poster.

I was at a Metallica show at the meadowlands in October and I sat right in front of Opie, Norton and Bill Bur. I asked Opie about R&F and when he would get them to XM, he said only .."we are working on it" ...I am a NJ big ass card holder and I only listen underground now and we need the boys back ...so I hope Opie was not yanking my chain

Does anyone have that XM promo picture they talk about sometimes, the one with Opie's photoshopped head and a very long neck?

Here is a clip of Ron mentioning O&A (http://members.cox.net/nicksporsche/jan07-sat.mp3) well, this is about as close as he can get away with on the air. From Last Friday's show.

Are you sure he wasn't talking about "Monsters in the Morning," Jim Breuer, Eddie Trunk, Sean Hannity, Vincent "Big Pussy" Pastore, Al Franken or "The Radio Chick"? No? No? Ok. I suppose so.

Seriously (Siriusly?) though, whenever Breuer would do O&A, he always hung around and paid his respects to Ron, who he always said discovered him at his old comedy club.
