I didint want to pass the cop

Ok so Im drving home from a friends house tonight. On the way hom I notice a cop in my rear view mirror. So I slow it down a bit. The cop passes me but I notice hes in the other lane and driving rather slow. Slow like maybe 5 miles an hour under the speed limit. I think to my self thats odd, I wonder if he's waiting for someone to pass him so he can give a ticket. Im in the left hand lane, hes in the center. The person in the right hand lane isnt passing him so Im trying my best (with my led foot) to not pass this cop.<p>The next thing I see the cop moves into my lane, in front of me and flips on the lights. The car he pulled over was this old ass Cadie. Now being that its florida, the driver was probably elderly (to out it nicely) Now I didnt see a thing what this person did wrong, all I know is I saw the "wigwags" go on and I started laughing my ass off.<p> Now I wasnt drunk, nor buzzed in any way shape or form , I think I had maybe 3 beers in my system. But my biggest fear is to be pulled over, I mean it happened once on the way to work, and then again there was this one time when I shouldnt of been driving but I was sober as can be. Just scared of being pulled over. You think It was wrong for me to laugh like that?

i had a friend whos dad was a cop. his dad always found it funny that
nobody would pass him while driving. he'd say if they did pass him,
while not speeding excessively, they most likely were the ones with
nothing to hide.

If your doing nothing wrong, and the cop is going slow, pass him as long as you're within the speed limit.

I did that one time and my friend was looking at me like I was crazy for passing a police car.

Yeah, I never got that. The only way he can give you a ticket for passing him is if the weather is bad enough to make the driving conditions merit a reduction in speed. People are so paranoid around cops. They're just regular guys and girls.

got pulled over one time for driving in the left lane of a two lane road. the police car was behind me but i didn't notice him and he seemed a little ticked that i didn't move over...

he asked me why i was driving in the left lane and i told him the truth... it was smoother than the right lane which had too many bumps

he wasn't expecting that answer and didn't know how to answer and just sent me on my way

Now if you cut the cop off.......well that's a different story. Not that I know anything about it. Let's just say my co-worker that was with me looked at me like I was crazy.

And if you get lost going downhill, don't speed with the cop on the side of the road. You might get a warning. Not that I know anything about that either.

explanation needed: I work for a pizza place that gives cops free food and "donates" some money so that the cops will let the drivers do there thing and not give them tickets. that being said:

last time i got pulled over, which at work happens quite a bit, it was a cop i had seen before. i was doin probably 55 in a 40, which is better than normal when they pull over a driver. so he comes to the window and asked why i was driving so fast.
i told himm cause if i was goin faster id have a better chance of gettin under the over passes without gettin hit if someone was throwing stuff off.

he gave me a look like he wanted to kill me, and then told me to "slow the fuck down or ill get you fired" and sent me on my way

You people who slow down just because there's a cop near you drive me nuts. Cops must think everybody drives 40 on the highway. Check your speed, and do the limit you wusses!!!
Most wont even pull you over if you're 5MPH over. What are they gonna write? A ticket for 58 in a 55? DRIVE MOFO DRIVE!!

I got a reckless driving ticket last year and I've been paranoid ever since, I can't help it. I hate when cops are driving near you though, that's the worst. I always feel like I never know what to do. For instance, two days ago I was driving behind two cars and a cop car on a double yellow road. The cop is leading and speeding about fifteen over, so we're all following his lead, but only going maybe twelve over. Then, he pulls over out of nowhere and sets up like he's ready to pull one of us over, so we all had to slow down before we got to him. I mean what the fuck is that?

its called pacing the highway, and your lucky the cop stopped. when they pace here, a cop will lead at like 80 and just drive past another cop they know is there. that way people dont realize its a trick until they are gettin pulled over. i give them credit with that, they been doin it for 30 years and people still fall for it.

Plus, if you ever do get a ticket behind a cop, its really easy to claim discrimination and get the ticket thrown out

That is such devious shit. A cops role is to passively catch people who break the law, Not to entice people to do it. Speed traps are bad enough, but at least they're not leading you into it.

when i first started driving i was scared shitless when driving next to to a cop... i always thought i was going to fuck up and hit him, speed etc. but now i dont care if ones driving next to me... its like you just get used to it after awhile... plus it helps to have cops in the family... that way if i ever visit NJ i have a get out of jail card on my cell phone
