Help! I burnt popcorn in my microwave.

So how do I get rid of the stank?? Everytime I use the microwave, there's that burnt smell. I tried to clean the inside of the microwave but the remnants of the popcorn oil is still there and the inside darkens. What can I do??? It's a new microwave too......or was at least.


But it was cool seeing the smoke come out and the charcoaled remains of the popcorn.

3 days so far and counting.

The popcorn is long gone. But what can I use to make the inside of the look like new again. The insides seem to have soaked the butter stuff up and this seems to be the source of the smell. At least I think it is.

Unplug it, use some dishwashing soap and just wash it all out. Either that or Windex.

4 minutes. I like my popcorn popped, not charred.

At 2.5 minutes not all the kernels pop. And the package said about 4. So I did 4 minutes, did some errands and came back. Viola! Well done.
