I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever had this done. Here's the story, I have a Ovation CC274 acoustic bass, and I done screwed up good. There are long cracks in the finish and I think it's due to transporting it to a friends in the cold. I always try to take the proper precautions, but I think I dropped the ball one time. Anyway, has anyone ever had an acoustic refinished? If so, what is the price range? Any tips? I know refinishing is normally reserved for special guitars, but I was just curious, especially since the bass is a round back ovation, so only the top would have to get refinished. I'm really sad right now over this and any suggestion would be appreciated.
