I always do this. Like the Playstation 2. I just got one last year, and I would have NEVER got one if my pal Grim Sanity hadn't given me one he fixed the disc read error in. He got them cheap off Ebay and fixed them because he knew it was a small adjustment.
I just found out about The Police like 3 years ago TOPS, and they are without a doubt one of the best bands ever. Great songs, superb musicianship, awesome and diverse sound.
Those are just 2 examples. The latest one that made me think of it was The Sims. I JUST got this from....Grim again......(Thanks for all the stuff bro!). People have been talking about this stupid game for years and I just never checked it out. I still have to go through the tutorial.
Is anyone else like this? I just don't feel like I have to be on the cutting edge of shit. I'm not a 10 year old kid wanting the Sega Genesis and the SNES so I can ditch my NES. As an adult, I like to sit back and see if stuff takes off before I even care.

I was coming out of my Death Metal shell so to speak, and checking out new musics. I had remembered growing up that my cousin always had The Police posters on her wall, so I checked them out. Instanly fell in LOVE with them.

Ahh, The Police. Never really liked them that much, but I bought the cassette ( yes cassette) of Zenyatta Mondata because this Movie cashier I was trying to bang was a Police freak.
Didn't love the record, but...
Got more ass than a toilet seat.
BTW, was able to turn her on to The Clash, and Elvis Costello & the Attractions.

I have a couple things like this, though nothing like Moe's Police discovery (Holy crap!) and they just go to prove what a nerd I am anyway. There have been a couple of computer games that my friends have bugged me for years to play: Fallout and Planescape:Torment. They aren't really old, but old enough where I was concerned they might not run on my system. Well, this summer I finally got them and they fucking rocked, especially Planescape:Torment. Probably my favorite game ever now.

I finally listened to my Clash records after having them in my collection a few years ago. A ton of other bands to mention but they all slip my mind right now.
I always like it though when a band slips under my radar and I see them live. For instance, I was going to see Rise Against a few weeks back with a friend of mine and knew of them but never heard them. They blew me away. I love when a band can just kick my ass with a live performance.

I really didn't mean for this to turn into a Police discussion, but I love them so I'll talk about them all day.
I've never seen a band in a venue bigger than a club. I've never seen a large radio play act ANYWHERE. Biggest show I've ever been to was the March Metal Meltdown that we played in '01. Largest show I went to that we didn't play was probably Fear Factory/Biohazard at the Roseland.

http://pub.tv2.no/multimedia/na/archive/00153/Kypros__sex-lek__se_153292f.jpg
A Cairo court has ruled that police officers who arrested 50 Egyptians accused of gay sex during a boat party on the Nile will have to testify.
The decision follows a request made by the defense lawyers, asking that the police officers face the court for cross-examination.
Hassan Al Sayess, the presiding judge at the Abdine criminal court in central Cairo, said the three police officers will testify at the next hearing, set for Oct. 12, reported the Jordan Times.
The men, mostly in their 20s, were arrested following a May 11, evening on the Queen Boat nightclub on the Nile.
Homosexuality is not explicitly prohibited under Egyptian law which is Islamic teachings. Homosexuality, however is seen as an affront to public morality.

Bullshit. It's excellent.
The Great Below is by far the best song on those two CDs in my opinion.
Pretty Hate Machine is pretty good, it's more beat driven then melody I think. Ringfinger is my favorite song there.
