Alright, it's been awhile since I embarrassed myself here so here we go...

A chick friend of mine bought like this thing of shampoos and shit and in it had like 3 loofah sponges. I jokingly said, "Hey you dont need 3, my old sponge is worn out and I can use a new one." She didnt laugh, infact she made me...MADE ME take the damn loofah sponge. I swore to her that I'm never going to use it, but she insisted. So, fast forward a week and the stupid thing is sitting on my kitchen counter exactly where I left it the day she gave it to me. I was just about to jump into the shower when I said to myself...fuck it. Lets see what this thing does. Fast forward another week, and now I need a new fucking loofah sponge! That thing is bad ass! My skin feels smooth and silky...

Wow, I cant believe I said that.

Anyway, this is the one I have:

I have the Bath & Body Works loofah which is just amazing. Works really well with the Men's Bar Soap that they have in the Store as well. The Bar Soap has these little massaging nubs on the one side which feel really nice on the muscles. I like the Woodland flavour. I also proudly use the B & BW Shaving Gel (which is really cool ont he face and does a good job) and when I am feeling extra frisky, the Body Wash ALONG with the Bar Soap.

EDIT: Oh yeah, go into Bath and Body Works and look around at the hand moisturizers and soaps if you notice a good looking girl working in the store. Good chance to try and sell the product they will come over and wash your hands for you. Quite a turn on having your hands washed by a hottie in B & BW. Especially for those of us in the ugly population.

not a loofah...the pic that SR71 posted was a loofah...what you have is just a nylon sponge...a loofah is hard on the skin and takes off the dry skin.

My Dad used to use that stuff to get the wood stain off his hands. The shit works though.

I guess if there IS something stained brown it can get you pretty clean then.

I used to use one, then I switched to washcloths after reading the thread about how they collect dirt and ass and other crap.

I've used one for awhile too. Bodywash and the loofa thing. It's not gay in the least. Just something about scrubbing my skin with that thing makes me feel like I'm extra clean. If I'm in a hurry or just too tired, I'll do the old bar soap lather of olde.

while there are loofahs that use marine animal skeletons, it is not as common anymore. Most loofahs come from the Gourd Plant in warm/hot temperate zones.
