I was SOOO Thirsty at work...

Well, this happened like 3 days ago, right after the latest snow storm. Damn was I thirsty! I'm walking around nowhere near a store to buy a drink. Usually I buy a bottle of water and have it with me, but this day I was in a rush to just get done. I needed a beverage badly. So first I ate some snow. That didnt really help. It was cold and wet but it really didnt help. Well, I came to a house with a bunch of icicles hanging off it...So I plucked a good one and started chewing on it. Ahhh that was better, until I turned around and saw a few high school kids watching me and laughing. I think I heard one of them say "I got something you can suck on mail man." I had no reply and just said "Hey man I'm really thirsty..." They continued walking and laughing and I went on my way mortified.

The worst part is, I get to the next house and start spitting out pieces of dirt from the icicle. I'll never forget a bottle of water again!

When I was a meter reader, I was so thirsty I was drinking out of peoples hoses and begging for water!
100 degrees out reading meters and walking 10 miles makes you desperate in the middle of nowhere.
