i was home alone and a little drunk/stoned last night and turned on Extreme Makeover (home edition). they had on this little 8 year old girl who has cancer who wanted them to makeover the hospital she had stayed at so the kids there can feel better about the place....a home away from home. i won't do the girl justice, but she was the sweetest, most mature little girl i have ever seen. they were recapping her story and i was just blown away by this girl. she has gone through so much and wasn't asking to get anything in return, but wanted to help out her friends at the hospital. she even makes these beeds which she sells trying to raise money for the place.
so during this little recap i started feeling bad for the girl and mixed with the sad music they play and this girls cute little smile i felt a few tears in my eyes and one or two rolled down my face. i was touched by this girl and wish people saw it.
i really wanted to cry when i realized i had only Tivoed the first hour of the show. if its a 2 hour show, don't break it in half and make me press record twice. so i didn't get to see the other half of the show...but they were not only going to do the hospital, but they were knocking down the girls house and builiding the family annew nice home as a surprise.
