Tipping the Car Wash Guy...?

When you have your car washed, how much, or do you tip the guy?



There are sometimes guy in the beginning that vacuum the car out and slap the mats around and sometimes they have a tip box.....



Then theres the guy who wipes it down and wipes the inside of the windows at the end.....

I in general am a firm believer in tipping at many establishments and various things in life, however I get a lil' stingy at the car vash for some odd reason.

I've developed this method where I take fake folded porno dollar bills or a fake twenty that I invariable find on the streets and insert it into the "tip" box as I make my way into the car wash. At the end of the cleaning there is no way around it, the beaners who service the car at that point have interaction with me so I must produce the cash. I take two folded dollars that appear to be much more money when folded properly and hand it to the gentleman and hightail off on my merry way.

Now, if they were to actually wisen up and hire hot scantilly clad water soaked chicks to wash and dry the car off I know I'd be tipping a lot more. Instead though, these establishments choose to go the "cheap" route and get Hector and his merry band of fajita eaters to service my car. Hence the low tip.

If you were offended in anyway by this comedy of mine, then go fuck your mother!!

There's a gas station down the block from me that does a hand wash including vacuuming the interior, rims and armoralling the tires for $7. I usually give them an $8 tip because I would pay at least $30 for what they do at other places.

When I give them 2 bucks, they always do a better job scrubbing the car down before I go through the mechanical part. They usually throw in an upgrade on the kind of wash. BTW... do you believe the Clear Coat is real?

I usually throw $2 into the tip jar. Its different when you dont have to hand a guy a tip. You can drop $1 or $10 into that jar and they wouldnt know the difference because they dont see what you actually put in. . But I always try to tip well...
