I'm fairly pissed. It's happened a couple weekends in a row now, this morning being the last time. I get up every morning for my job at 7. It's real close and since I shower at night, I just get up, clean up and go.
But on the weekends, I find that my body wakes me up at 7, and I toss and turn until at least like 8. This blows. It's not that big a deal if I don't have to work on Saturday and just have to go out to jam with my band. Those days I have to be up by like 9 at the latest anyway. But on Sundays when I'm not doing something early, I want to sleep as long as I can.
What I'm most concerned about here is fallling into that rhythm that old people fall into. You get up at like 6 every morning just because you always did until you die.
Anyone else get like this?

if i get up too early and do the 'lay in bed" to get more sleep. I usualy nod off for 20-30 minutes at a time while waking for 10 inbetween. After a few hours of this i feel like total crap when i get out of bed. i probably would have felt better just getting up early
and it's usualy during those 20-30 min nodouts where i do most of my dreaming. i always remember dreaming but forget what i dreamt about

The worst part about it is the tossing and turning. I'll be in this groggy state, just getting more and more uncomfortable as my t-shirt gets all bunched up to one side because I'm moving so much. Then I'll just stare at the ceiling like I'm thinking about getting up, but I'll get tired again, and the vicious cycle begins anew.
Gay.

Isn't that wild the way your brain knows what time it is, even while you're sleeping? Like there's a little clock in your head.

You wake up every three hours crying and wanting to be fed?
Here's how I sleep.

It's weird. When I was unemployed, I would do ANYTHING to get up at 7 everyday instead of getting up at 12 and being up until 5 in the fucking morning. Now I want to sleep in one day and my body won't let me.
Weak.

Usually what I do is I read at night until my eyes feel like they are on fire and then Ill sleep good.
I dont like the t shirt riding up either and if it happens, I rip it off and toss it and sleep without. Also try walking when you get home from work for an hour or so.

I wake up at 5:25 every morning during the week for work so now on the weekends sleeping in to 8 or 9 is all I can do.

i have the same problem. it used to be that I could never fall asleep at night, but now its just the opposite. I fall asleep in about 2 minutes, but at around 4-5 o'clock i start to wake up and until the alarm goes off at 6 I only get 5-10 naps in for the last hour or two. on the weekends i go to bed a bit later, but once its 8 o'clock i usually stop trying to fall back asleep...its useless. i don't mind it much, i get a bunch done in the first 2 hours of the day...definitely my most productive weekend moments that don't involve drinking.
the past month though i've had varying work hours so my sleep is all messed up. i'm tired all the time because once my body adjusts a little, my hours change again. but thankfully that will change again soon as i go back to my normal work days.

thanks for the sig SatCam...and thanks for bringing it back Furie
