So yesterday was my friends 2 year old sons birthday party. So before I head over I stopped to buy a card for the little guy. I found a spot to park right in front of the store. I open the door, get out, and now I'm standing with the door leaning on my side and I'm just checking my sit to make sure nothing fell out of my pockets before I go into the store. I couldnt have been standing there for more then 5 seconds when ::BAM!!!:: a car drove right up to me and blasts his passager mirror against my door. He was going about 15 - 20 mph, his passager window was open so the glass from his mirror flys back into his car and cuts up his face. The whole time I was standing there with the door against my side...if my arm was 1/2 inch out or if I had my hand on the otherside of the door to close it, he would have taken my arm right off. So the guy pulls over, and I walked to his car and asked if he was alright. He said he was fine, the mirror cut his face by his chin and cheek. Nothing serious. I walked back to my car, and I dont even have a scratch. So I go into the store and buy a card and leave the store. I go to get in my car and this moron is telling me that I cant leave because he called the cops. CALLED THE COPS?!?! I start yelling at this dope. "You did no damage to my car, only damage you have is a broken mirror, you probably have a $1,000 deductable on your insurance, the only thing that's going to come out of calling the cops is that they will make a report and our insurance bills will go up. Why the fuck did you call the cops!?" The person I was with calmed me down and we waited...2 hours for the cops to show up, and talk this dope out of filling a report.What a waste of a beautiful day.

he probably had planned to tell the cops that you hit his mirror with your door...sneaky bastardi know this is not the case with you but i wonder who is at fault if someone swings their door open and it hits a mirror, a car going by, or a biker???

Here, lemme give you a hand! Sucks that he called the cops but if you left he could probably blame the whole thing on you and it'd become a hit-and-run.

one time i was in the backseat with two of my brothers, the eldest brother and the 3rd eldest brotherso my Mom opens the passenger door and almost whacks this guy passing on his bike... the guy on the bike kept looking back with a dirty look on his face so my 'tough eldest bother says' "yeah you better keep riding or else i'll do a number on ya" to which my other brother replies "yeah what, a number two?"

when i was like 8 i fell asleep in the back seat of my dad's car with the door apparently unlocked. We're going down the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn and i'm half asleep. All of a sudden my father starts going pretty fast because the parkways empty and I must've leaned on the door handle and BARELY catch myself from falling out of the car. Just in the nick of time i was able to close the door real quick and my father just looks back at me with an amazed look on his face, turns back around to face forward and just says, "Now lock the door." I don't think we've ever spoken about it again but i was probably as good as dead.
