Last week was Gehrig, Mantle, Graig Nettles, Catfish Hunter, and Reggie Jackson. I was only going to buy Gehrig and Mantle, but then I was suckered into buying all five, because the newsstand I go to wasn't selling them individually. Tonight I bought the Yogi Berra coin, but I'm going to pass on the next few until Phil Rizzutto on Friday. I felt like a douchebag wasting money on these things, but what the fuck, you can't be a cheap bastard all the time.

Leave it to the Yankee organization.

They have no present day heroes for this century, so they harken back to the glory days just to make a buck. It won't be a true Immortals medallion set unless there's a medallion of Sparky Lyle dropping trou and sitting on a birthday cake.
