Now I have to admit, it's not like I haven't watched ANY TV in weeks, but just my own TV in my room.  I've seen some news on other TVs in the house for a short time, and watched it over friend's houses.  But while I'm in my room, I just don't turn the fucking thing on anymore.  I noticed it when I found a think layer of dust on it that I would usually have cleaned off to better the picture.  It hit me right then that my TV hasn't been turned on in a long time.  Not even to play a video game.  It seems that when I'm in my room I'm usually just online now.  And when I'm not in my room, I'm not in my room.  But that should be obvious to anyone who isn't a half a retard.Anyone else suddenly stop watching TV recently??

TV's just generally NOT GOOD anymore. Aside from having Sports Center on in the background, just about the only things I ocassionally put my TV on for are Conan and South Park.

I watch the Yanks, and a little c-span. I barely use mine too.
Between being online, my dogs and work, I really dont have time. And as
little as I use it, the times I do, they're replaying the same shit
I've seen already.

Aside from having Sports
Center on in the background, just about the only things I ocassionally
put my TV on for are Conan and South Park. look who doesnt watch Yankee games

For the past year, i have gone weeks with out turning it on. Now I watch the Yanks, and if it sucks I will flip a little bit. For the most part, monday - thursday i never turn it on. On the weekends, I may catch an hour here and there. I just started my own buisness, so i have been busy with that. Plus, TV sucks lately

It's cuz I'm AT every game. JK! JK JK! JK!!!! No, I just don't really count sporting events as TV shows. It's a broadcast of a live, real-life event. It's not like there's writers, actors, etc.

I woke up this morning and sat in my living room for a few minutes, flipping around.  It was so boring it made me want to put my bare hands through the screen.  Damn, NOTHING was on.  And I mean NOTHING.  I think even the History Channel was lame at that hour.At least I'm not alone here.

I wasn't even looking to bash the content on TV these days, but you're probably correct in linking it to my disinterest in turning it on.  There's just nothing on it that makes me WANT to turn it on.I thought it had more to do with me using the internet as my main source of entertainment while in my room.  The DSL has totally changed the way I use the net.  I no longer fear surfing to new sites, watching video and downloading audio.  It's awesome.  I'm listening to some Ron and Fez clips from the File Library right now.

No, I just don't really count sporting events as TV shows. It's a broadcast of a live, real-life event. It's not like there's writers, actors, etc.That's how I feel about forums.  It's real people, there's no writers (well except for Torker)  They don't count as sitting in front of the computer all day.  Although sometimes I wonder what I should say when someone asks me what I've done for the past 18 hours.
