I can't stand them. They make me sick to my stomach.

Yeah, I'm the one standing near the waiting line holding my friends' jackets and bags.

i was thinking this same thing the other day after Matty Fridays posted about his trip to SFGA.

I have not been on a ride in about 5 years, and I have no desire to go on one. I HATE lines, i usually hate the people at the theme parks, they are over priced, and I do not enjoy the "thrill" from a roller coaster.

I will go on simulation rides, but nothing to crazy. I am offically getting old

I can not take any ride that just spins in circles. I have no time for that. You do not feel right for a while after one of those. and I HATE WITH A PASSION any type of water ride. especially ones with just enough water to make you uncomfortable, but not enough that you are like soaked. oh god my skin is crawling just thinking about it

I don't mind the ones that go upside down and shit, but the really really tall ones make me so nervous I can't enjoy the ride.

I've only been to parks once or twice. Both times, I only went on a coaster once. At the time I was too young, so I couldn't ride on most of the coasters. The second time, it was just me and my two sisters. One is very self-conscious, so she wouldn't go. The other said it was cuz of her "high blood pressure", which is bullshit because the entire family has it (including myself), and I know she was just using it as an excuse. So, I was left with myself, which would have been no fun.

The only time I did go on a coaster, it was pretty cool. And the log rides are always fun.

I usually like Coasters. Medusa and Nitro are my
favorites. However, I hate Rolling Thunder. It just doesn't feel safe
to me, and it's so ridiculously bumpy that the last time I went on it
my back was killing me. That was the first and last time I'll ride that
thing.
i dig e'm except for the rickety wooden ones that creak and squeak... it seems some of them can really jerk you around, not fun the metal ones glide smoother

I'm not a fan of them either. I'm so afraid of heights. I'm such a pussy. But, I did manage to get my ass on the roller coaster that goes around the New York, New York Casino in Vegas. It was Vegas, I had to do it. Wasn't so bad. Then again, I kept my eyes closed the entire time.

All my friends were putting their arms up and stuff, but the supports were so low I figured at least one person would lose an arm.

They should tear down every roller coaster in the US and use the lumber to build stages that Death Metal bands can play on.

TRU DAT!

should have gone on the one on top of the Strat. That one was not
too fast or with any wild turns but it was a trip being that high up on
the edge of the building. I would have gone on that new one if
they didn't shut it down for saftey reasons.

As for rollercoasts.. bring em on. They don't make them tall
enough or fast enough yet. Top Thrill and Kingda Ka are getting
closer but they need more.

I love them - can't get enough of them. I'm not a big fan of the ones that rattle my head back and forth, but for the most part I'm the doofus that's screaming and hooting before I even leave the station. All time favorite coaster is the Superman one at "Six Flags."

Eventually I want to make it to the Holy Land for Coasters - Ohio. Between the Beast (still the longest wooden coaster anywhere) and now Son of Beast at Kings Island (Son of Beast is the only wooden coaster with a loop!), and Cedar Point, which has some of the sickest rides around, I'll be in heaven.

http://www.cedarpoint.com/ (Cedar Point)

http://www.pki.com/ (Kings Island)

Son of Beast - Kings Island

When I was a lil' kid my Mom got so pissed at me for not riding roller coasters (after doing nothing but talk about it all the way down, and then complain about not riding them all the way home) that the next time she forced me to go on them. I was almost in hysterics, only calming down when i saw a girl at least a year or two younger than me skipping off the coaster in front of me.

The one ride I hate, however, is anything that hangs you upside down and keeps you ther - especially those ship rides where your arms and legs are dangling straight down. Uuuuuuuugggh.

i like roller coasters, but not ferris wheels. they go to slow and give me to much time to think about what could go wrong.

When i was 10 or so I went to the Great Escape by Lake George. They had a ride that is like a giant ferris wheel, but it starts at ground level and keeps spinning until it is straight up like a ferris wheel and then flattens out again. It was really high up when it got straight. anyway, i was with my family and me and my dad were in one cart and my 2 sisters and brother were a few carts ahead of us. we had done the ride earlier in the day, so knew what it was like. it starts to spin really fast and gradually starts to lift itself up to the straight position. about 6 spins straight up my dad says something is wrong....after about 10 more spins i start to believe him as it was much longer then the other time we rode it. all of a sudden the cart ahead of us starts to swing and hits the giant pole the ride is supported on. you could hear people screaming down low and people who work at the place are running around. one of the wires is now hanging and swinging with the ride. they eventually got the ride stopped, but instead of ground level we are now upright like a ferris wheel. it took about 3 hours, but they eventually got most of us off with a cherry picker fire engine. was kind of scary getting out of the cart onto the thing. they told us not to move to much as the carts may give out. my poor mom was on the floor screaming and crying. it was cool that some of the older people would stay on until they made sure all the kids were off first. so my brothers and sisters were i believe the 2nd off. me and my dad were towards the end. i can go on any ride, but when i tried this one again i threw up after about 2 minutes after the ride. after this they gave us free passes to come back, but it had to be that same week. like any of us were ready for that again.

Rollercoasters are awesome, I was just at 6 flags this past weekend,
hit up Nitro and Medusa which both rule. Has anyone been on
Kingda Ka yet? I was gonna go on it but they said it was a 3-4
hour wait so I figured fuck it and try another day.
