The new White Stripes and Coldplay CD's are out today.  Does anyone plan on getting either of these?The White Stripes are the only band I'll actually go out and spend money on.  Anything else I like i just download.

I'm more excited about Dwight Yoakam's new album coming out next week....although I'll still probably buy the new Coldplay album... I never got into the White Stripes all that much...

My opinion on Coldplay:O-VER-RAT-ED!!!Just because you're from England doesnt' mean you're better than any other band in the US.  They have this aura of snootiness that only sophisticated people and the upper class should understand their music, while the common person can just leave their money at the box office and not bother seeing them, since they don't deerve the right to

I read a review in the Washington Times on the new Coldplay album and they said now that the lead guy is happy and married with baby Apple the songs have taken a turn for the happy worst! Another band ruined by happiness. (Remember the Cure's "Friday I'm in love" song? Barf. That's when Robert Smith got happy and that band was never the same.)

Once someone here reviews the new White Stripes CD, and it will of course be a good review, I will buy it.As
for coldplay, they are definitely overrated. To me it just sounds like
a poor poor version of radiohead, with a heavy piano background. 
And all of their songs sound the same to me.

I never got into the white stripes but i was talking with someone and i noticed i was never really bothered by anything i've ever heard from them. i downloaded a bunch of stuff from them and took a listen. i would like to submit that they are the saviours of rock n roll. everything i heard i really liked. every song had a  very cool vibe to it. the get behind me satan album is aparently good....i dont even know if that one is out yet. i'm hoping i can cling to this band as i really haven't liked anything thats come out since rage against the machine.
