<p>I just downloaded the video awards...What the fuck is Jimmy Fallon doing Hotel Rwanda jokes? Its one thing to satirize a political figure, or an actor or something...but isn't genocide a little off limits?</p><p>What a boring show by the way...</p>

<p>The problem with the Movie Award show is the same as the Video Award show (Jeff got 'em mixed up...the movie one just aired): they were created to be digs AT big award shows, and until about '98, they were.&nbsp; Nothing was taken too seriously, the categories were ridiculous and nobody looked at them as anything besides a joke, people just showed up for the fun of it, yadda-yadda-yadda...now, for the last 5+ years, both have become REAL awards shows, and they're even more useless than the awards shows they started out parodying.</p><p>Really just indicative of MTV's shift as a whole...</p>
