Is there a simple way to convert Quicktime video to an mpeg or avi format? Alternatively, is there anyway to reduce the size of a large Quicktime video file?

By "simple" do you mean FREE? I actually still pay for all my software so, I don't know what the no-dough option is.

Pretty much any video editing program (other than the free Windows XP Movie Maker) should allow you to do it. Simply drag the (large) QT clip into the storyline...and select what ever format you want to compress it to. AVI, MPEG, WMV...whatever.

I have loads of expensive software but, I've made some serious money editing corporate vids for Pepsi and Xbox and all I use is PINNACLE STUDIO PLUS 9. Only 100 bucks and I use it for everything.

Also...if this is a one-off. Feel free to send me the video ( www.yousendit.com ) and I will happily convert it to any size in any format.
