I just had my water pump changed by a guy who works in the RV garage. He was a mechanic for years before he started work with us, and did a great job. Only problem is it seems now that I've had good pressure flowing through my cooling system now, a leak has sprung in the radiator.

It started small, real small. I hardly even noticed it and just thought the 1st time I had to fill my side reservoir a little again, it was air pockets from the guy flushing my cooling system. Then about a week later I had to fill up the side reservoir again, and I had a bad feeling something was up. So the icing on the cake was I was getting steam from the front of the car at stop lights. Guess what, a leak.

I tired this Stop Leak shit, and it didn't do anything. I put another bottle in, and I swear it seems like it got worse after I used that shit. I drove the car out to PA on Saturday to jam with my band and I lost like half a gallon of water. Had to fill it up when I got there, after we got some lunch, and then again today.

Last resort before buying a new one is putting some epoxy shit all over the area where there's a leak. So I was out there today smearing this shit all in and around the area where this leak is pissing out of when the car is hot. We shall see what tomorrow brings, but I am less than optimistic.

Epoxy Sealent's almost never work unless their put on perfectly, and as soon as the radiator heats (the metal expands) you run the risk of it opening up the hole again. Your best bet is probably a new radiator, which can be had for less than $100 online. It should only take about an hour to install with some hose clamps and a decent toolset.

Might as well.
