If you ever hear O&A opening song "Ecstasy of Gold",that's my
actual voice doing both female lead and male backing vocals,from 1987
when I was ghostwriting the hits for many classic rock bands.Jerry* I
added almost a minute to the original 1960's version and also scat sang
what eventually Yo Yo Ma recorded in his instrumental version(same
night/same hour recorded 1987 accapella).

It's very DC heavy, and there's a lot of stuff that's not even touched on.  The NYC era has to expanded on.  Although I'm fucking SHOCKED Donna G is listed on there.  That IS thorough.

I edited it to add a new section for "Frequent Callers and Contributors".The section currently has Perry, Heckler, and Jeff and Missy.I'll edit again later to add some of the more infamous RF girls - Sweet Melissa, Too Cute, Lisa Croft, Frenchy, and Winnie Cooper.

Which woodwind am I ?  Death Metal Moe,I don't read or write
musical notation.I sing into a 4 track,using what I know about
Orchestra music,which is very limited,so I was treading water doing
that improv version.Since I heard the final product MANY (18) years
later,it took me awhile to remember if it was "MINE" and if it was
tampered with.I tend to remember things I've written long ago by
listening for my "MISTAKES".That may sound weird unless you are a song
or music writer,since we may not in our real lives be that much
perfectionists,but in our art or music fuss very seriously over our
errors,as if time is so unforgiving,putting our best effort
in.     I had the approach in the YO YO MA version
as so many "bag of tricks" and mixing up unexpected,but related
strings/lines of music will get me to the end,so it at least resembles
something PLANNED,EVEN and UNIFIED(consistency) and was worthy of
copping Ennio Morricone in HIS
arena(orchestra).             
The way I failed,but not obvious to most listeners,is that the second
half of the piece wanders aimlessly,and is not as strong,imaginative or
tight as the beginning half.It's like I ran out of "GAS" midway,and
just coasted downhill to the next gas
station.       It wasn't terrible,just
anti-climactic and weaker than the first
half.       Not so the Female vocal
version.It ends  with power.It's clearly better.

Correction...read the words "writer" above as "singer",because I was
"improv" -ing off the original 1960's version. I couldn't WRITE the
notes if a gun were put to my head.I just have good relative pitch.Not
perfect.

3) I noticed the change from Eddie the Retard to Martin the Retard - would this change have come probably due to the fact of Superstar?I may not have worded that entry correctly.  The character was called Retard Eddie in Florida because it was played by staffer, Fast Eddie.  In NY, when the character was played by Joe Poo, the name was changed to Retard Martin.  I wasn't aware that it had anything to do with Superstar, but I could be wrong.  The Retard Martin does significantly predate any of Superstar's on-air appearances, though.

An open source encyclopedia.  It's set up this way to allow te internet community compile information from a wide variety of sources.  As I understand it, here are certain safeguards in place to discourage people from just trying to mess up all of the information.

I've used wiki for other things, and what I like most about it is that it's an organic thing and will grow and expand for the purpose for it to be edited as more thought by more and more is put into it. You need something to work from. Using Jen's on this one as an example, as of last night (when I looked) there was nothing there - maybe hers will shrink, or maybe Perry and Hecklers will grow. Hell, there is still nothing there for Bobo. Kind of silly to be complaining about something so fluid.

Something so open like that can work both ways. But since no one really saw what they did (I'm guessing), other than the Wikipedia moderators, the odds are no uppity Stern fan is likely to get their panties in a twist (aside from Unibomber Eric, does Stern even have "Pests"?) The good thing about Wiki is that nothing is ever really over-written. Previous versions are always there to call up within seconds, so I imagine it became like trying to write curse words in the sand at the beach.

So, yesterday AM I decided to check the Wiki site and I saw that it had been hit by a vandal. I went in to try and change it, but by the time I had one of their mods had already gone in and taken out the shit. Really impressed with how fast they are over there - makes me wonder how many people they have working at any given time. Hopefully it was an isolted thing. I just don't want to see it locked like those other sites.

Hey guys... While researching the Wiki page, I saw that the main page had gotten some vandalisim... one of the pests included the phrase "Eric nagel is an incompetent bisexual" to the WJFK section. Now, what Erik has to do with R&F or JFK, I'll never know, I guess it's that witty brand of Full Blown AIDS humor that's too edgy for us common folk. If you have a chance, can you just keep an eye on the page and make sure it doesn't get fucked up?

I have updated and re-aligned the "Characters" page to accurately reflect the eras of the show. Anyone who I have heard call in or be a part of the show in the last year is "Current".  Anyone else is aligned in their era, whether it is WNEW or WJFK.  (There wasn't a lot of Florida people who weren't an active part of the show now, like Paul O.) Any questions, let me know.
