Something Freaky Just Happened. [Archive]

I'm sitting here at the computer. Out of nowhere my answering machine starts talking. It was in that answering machine lady voice. She didnt say the usual things like "You have no new messages." (yeah i'm a loser). I swear I didnt completely understand what she said but it sounded like "I dont know where to take it." but thats not what was said. Then it ended with that ::KKKSSSHHHHTTTTT:: sound. It scared the shit out of me!What the hell caused that?

It could have been an ad on AIM or a website's pop up.  IF not, run some spyware programs.  Make sure no one is trying to hijack your system bro.

sometimes i get calls and they go to the recording and it turns out being the callers answering machine message...maybe the machines would like to talk to each other, maybe they're lonely?

it wasnt the computer. I only have head phones and I'm not wearing them.I didnt get a call because I would have heard the phone ring.It wasnt someone talking, it was the answering machine itself. It was in the answering machine lady voice. I still have all my lights on and turning to look behind me every 30 seconds. lol

I dont know what youre asking Wadd.Fallon I said this before but if it wasnt for me your image ready would never get used. lolI been thinking about this and freaking myself out more because for the past few months I been getting phone calls from a little child. Just messages saying "Hello...." Once I heard an adult in the backround but couldnt make out what they were saying then the child says something into the phone. It's weird.

This is what im asking:I assume your message for incoming calls is a computerized ladies voice.  I'm asking if you can delete that and leave your own voice for incoming callers to hear.  For example, I call and hear "Yo, this is Bobby P, I aint here ya know." in your own voice instead of hearing the computers voice.

To be perfectly honest, I have also heard the same type of thing from my answering machine.  I think its like a power surge or something that triggers it.
