Made a STUPID Ebay move. They're all against me!

<p>Jesus, I just dodged a bullet.&nbsp; I saw a used 2.0 Megapixel camera on Ebay for like 5 bucks.&nbsp; Wow, I've been looking for one for my band and don't want to spend too much on it, because it'll only be used for some web shots for our site and the occasional snake Bob catches.&nbsp; There's lots of small wildlife out near them in PA.</p><p>Soooooo anyway,<em>&nbsp; </em>I bid 10 bucks on it and went on my merry little way.&nbsp; All of a sudden, I notice....HOLY SHIT!&nbsp; 20 fucking dollars shipping?!?!?!?!&nbsp; DAMN IT!!!!&nbsp; I fell for the OLDEST Ebay scam!&nbsp; They put something wicked cheap up, and recoup a little with way high shipping.&nbsp; I wasn't as pissed at them was I was myself for NOT CHECKING before I bid.&nbsp; But don't get me wrong, I was PISSED at them too.&nbsp; Who are they fucking kidding?!&nbsp; 20 dollars for shipping?&nbsp; 20 bucks will get me a large box shipped and a happy ending from the UPS driver.&nbsp; I know, I ship shit out of our business all day.</p><p>Thankfully, someone outbid me and I didn't have to do anything.&nbsp; </p><p>Anyone have any similar Ebay stories?</p>

<p>yeah a few times. i only got screwed and had to buy it once, i got beat out the other times.</p><p>so,
i ordered a glass 1 liter beer stein from canada once. i paid $10 for
the mug, but was charged $20 for shipping. they said it was for the
&quot;extra&quot; packing material to keep the glass safe. it took 3 friggin
weeks to arrive, and the 'extra' materal was one layer of bubble wrap.
fucking canadians.... </p>

<p>I typically enforce a &quot;posters only&quot; rule when it comes to Ebay.</p><p>Even still, i always check their shipping rate prior to bidding, especially when the sellers are from overseas.&nbsp;</p>
