16 Year old slain in NJ by her neighbor

<p>Here is some of the story....most of you know this by now...it happened over the weekend.</p><h1 class="red"><h1 class="red">Randolph girl's body is found in trunk </h1></h1><div class="subhead"><div class="subhead"><strong>Police say teens tried to dump her in river</strong> </div></div><div class="byln">Monday, August 01, 2005 <div><div>BY BILL SWAYZE AND MAURA McDERMOTT </div></div><strong><strong>Star-Ledger Staff</strong></strong> </div><p>A 16-year-old Randolph girl was found brutally slain early yesterday as three teens attempted to dump her body, which was stuffed in a steamer trunk, into the Passaic River from a bridge in Secaucus, authorities said. </p><p>Jonathan Zarate, an 18-year-old Randolph resident, has been charged with murder and is being held on $1 million bail, said Morris County Prosecutor Michael M. Rubbinaccio. Two other teens, a 16-year-old from Randolph and a 16-year-old from Clifton, were also taken into custody, but no charges had been filed as of late last night, Rubbinaccio said. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The teens where 15 and 16 and they helped the 18 year old dismemeber the body and move it to the car. The 18 year old also went to a party with the body in the car. This fucking kid is nothing less then an animal. The worst part is....I know the family of the victim.</p><p>The girl's name is Jennifer Parks. She was the kind of person who alot of us could see in her. She was not that popular but she was a good kid and her parents are very good people. Jenn had a good heart. This was their only child. I will be attending the wake on Friday night, in the hopes to pass on my condolences to the parents and her Uncle (who I know)</p><p>For those of you who also know my roomate, Sly (as we call her) please say an additional prayer for her. She was very close to the family and knew this girl since she was a baby. She was old and dear friends with the parents and Uncle (old high school friends). That is how I met them...through her. It's times like this that makes me sad to know not only such things still happen, but how they happen to good people who you know personally. I hope I can say SOMETHING that can relay my prayers to the Parks family.</p>

<p>As a father with a daughter, stories like these tear at my heart because I can't (and don't want to) imagine the hell that they are going through.</p><p>My thoughts and prayers are with the families and pray for their strength and love to carry them through this horrible time.</p><p>Regarding the kids who did this.&nbsp; No, wait a minute, not kids because brutal murder is not a normal aspect of childhood.&nbsp; I hope they spend the rest of their miserable existences getting the business end of a brutal cellmate's attention.</p>

like Tall James said, it's a parents worst nightmare... for both families but worse for the victim's. he needs to be punished to the full extent of the law unless the girls father can get get a good headshot in with a 9 millimeter while the guys being led to court...&nbsp;

<p>Don't worry Ron that thought is not out of the question. This kid better, for his sake, stay in jail for the rest of his life. He is a marked man if he gets out before everyone else dies from the family.</p><p>I wonder if NJ still has the death penalty?</p>
