There is a good chance R&F will go with a new person to produce the XM show -

But who from their past, would be your choice for new producer?

difficult for me to listen. I'll have to turn it off anytime she

I really believe that it will be someone new..who is Steve C?? I
thought wonderboy was a lot of fun,but he's in the North
Carolina,getting Nagged and giving Head(Nags Head).Mikey D is most
qualified and in NYC already, with loads of experience. If Fez would
just bury his fussiness for the smoothness of what works then Mikey D
would shine..Staples,alas is drawn to Broadway and the off Broadway, the
TV screen,silver screen,subway,off-subway productions.He's like Jackie
JokeMUN.The JokeMUN had it so good he had to blow it.I used to
ghostwrite for Stern by sending cassette tapes to jackie with show
ideas.
you could produce R&F.At any rate YOU are great for the R&F

I'm all for someone new. They should have an old staffer around just for kicks, like when Wonderboy came down with the show onto WJFK. Beyond that, when it comes to R&F, they've always proved that changed can and does work.

VIVE LA DIFFERENCE!

Like Al, Rory got a new job... I'm not sure what the reasonings were - either if WJFK wasn't going to retain his services or he didn't want to leave the NYC area - but Rory did in fact move on.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harry was an "advance scout" to help the transition of Ron and Fez to XM.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Hawk (Ron and Fez's Hawk, not Erik) was a part of the new show, as well as Billy.

Depending on what Wonderboy wants professionally, he might be a part of the mix too.

I don't think Keisha will be a part of the mix, as I said before - she's too inexperienced, the listeners didn't like her that much, and she's got some financial difficulties (as mentioned on the show) which would probably make it hard for her to segue from DC to NYC.

Seems to me that it is Black Earl... He called in a lot towards the end of the run at JFK and Ron
would often wonder out loud after the call -- "I'm not sure he's up to
it, what do you think fez?" Could that be about something
else? I took it as Earl is going to be the new producer...
I don't have the the advantage of hearing all the potential producers
from NY shows,though I've heard some old shows...so I can't be totally
objective.Black Earl just sounds too laid back ,by his voice alone. He
could be a top dog worker, but that's not my impression.Motivation seems
the problem.Of the guys available still and in the NYC area, who does
that leave?O&A have a NO FEMALE policy on the inner circle of the
show.R&F don't have that automatically, yet few females by
percentage have penetrated over the years, and aren't easily coming to
mind. Were there even 3? In the last 10 years??? That's
gotta be less than 10 percent (total shows vs time a female was staffer
/regular on-air or writing bits/production etc contributor PAID)."
Paid" eliminates half the females
immediately.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Hideout was called to XM very soon after
R&F get settled in,yet maybe I'm too optimistic.I'm not a huge
Hideout fan,but realize they hit a younger audience.I'm thinking
teens,20's ,30's. I just have the vague
impression that the biggest BATCH of R&F fans are 20's to 50's.I
have no numbers to back that up.

Usually if you "work for the show", it falls under being a producer. Even board-ops and call screeners have the title of "producer" on an official level.

Whether Earl is the executive producer remains to be seen, but good for Earl. he's a good guy.

But, considering that he is now a Suit with Infinity, and some of his worst professional moments occured on the air of the R&F show...not bloody likely!

I voted for Rory because I think he did a fine job as producer. Al Dukes definitely brought lots of funny moments to the show, though from a show producer standpoint I'm not sure he was all that great. I doubt either would do the show. Though I would love to see someone new in the role. I guess Black Earl would be pretty good as well.
