If you are applying for a job and they demand that you take a drug test and you test positive, what happens? Can the place of business call the cops on you or can they do nothing? It's not for me, it's for a friend.

herbal tea, unless the friend has already taken the test.  A
friend of mine used it on a test once and he got a job on the NJ
Turnpike.  That crazy friend.

They will just not hire you.When I was a recruiter we were supposed to get drug tests for all temp employees we sent to this large corporation BEFORE they started working.  Policy was that if the test came back positive after they started working, we'd have to offer them drug treatment before termination as per that companies policy.Someone slipped up once and did the test too late and it came back positive for coke and methamphetamine for this one temp and we had to keep him at the job for 3 months.  He was a pretty productive worker though

They will just not hire you.  The cops can't do anything about a poitive test unless you are on probation and have a prior record. (or get caught holding)On a side note when I was working at a large HOME improvement DEPOT years ago I had a guy that crashed a forklift through a fence.  Company policy meant immediate mandatory drug test and three days off until the results came back.  Well This kid went for the test two days later called up and quit because he KNEW he was going to test positive because he was smoking weed.  The test came back clean and he asked for his job back.  My store manager laughed at him.  IT WAS CLASSIC AND I'M AN ASS for even telling anyone that story but screw it.  It was funny because it wasn't me.

Dude, I have NO IDEA what he was thinking.  If he was going to quit why not just walk out and not go for the drug test?  This was not one of the smarter people I've met in my life and that should say something beccause, I dont exactly hang out with memebers of Mensa.  As for what it says about the drug test...I dont know, that is a good question.  For all I know this kid was sold some bad shit that wasnt even weed.  HAA that makes it even funnier.

it depends to what limit these place test to.  There is a limit that can be set to detect up to 40 nanograms or 75 nanograms or i believe you have the other spectrum which is fed gov't which tests to like 15 nanograms and they also do hair tests.

How long does weed stay in your system?  Say if you smoked a small amount back in October would it still be detectible in January?  What does the typical workplace drug test screen for?
