A big thing now seems to be not eating carbs, etc. and I'm thinking of trying that. Anyway what are some alternative since I really like rice and breads. are corn chips considered of the same genre, how about rice, and pita. Anyway...what are some alternates.

Eat MRE's strictly...you'll never put on any weight.

IkeaBoy, I have done the no carb thing, and it is incredible if you have to lose weight. As far as alternatives, there really are none. You just have to go without them. The greatest advantage of this type of diet is that there is no weighing of food or counting of calories. You eat as much as you want, whenever you are hungry.
This means you can eat 6 eggs with bacon and cheese for breakfast, but no toast or home fries. You can have 3 cheeseburgers for lunch, but no bun or french fries. You can have a 20 oz. steak with a pound of butter melted on it for dinner, but no corn or pasta or potato with it.
Believe it or not, even eating this way, the weight will fall off of you. The downside? Once you resume eating carbs again, the weight flies back on. You will gain it back in no time. Thus, you have to constantly go back on the no carb thing, and your weight tends to see saw a bit.
I have no idea if you are heavy or not, but I just figured I'd let you know what you're in for with the no carb diets.

IB - Take it from me, Atkin's diet is bad, bad news. You can fuck up your gall bladder if you're not careful.
Plus, another problem with a super-low-carb diet is that you'll have constant bad breath.
I'm telling you man, I lost 140 lbs over a year cutting out fats, fast food, and exercising more... I also took stacker 2 twice a day, but that's one dose less than you are supposed to take (label says three a day)
I'm still on a carb heavy diet, but I've gone from being 6'4, 360 to 220. So I'm happy.

Tenbatsuzen is correct. Atkins is very dangerous and can seriously harm you.
The most effective way to lose weight is still the old fashioned way. Diet and exercise.
Me, I'm waiting for the pill to come out that will take off the pouonds, straighten the spine, fix the astigmatism and give me a nice buzz. Why aren't our scientists working on this?

Horde King:
The scientsits are too busy designing shit that'll make Bin Laden wet his pants.
Then they'll get back to stuff that matters, like the perfect breast implant and supercool designer drugs.

The scientists should consult Al to find out what makes him wet his pants. Then they can get back to the important stuff.
By the way, welcome to the board. From your posts so far, you seem to have quite a good sense of humor.

Speaking of Al wetting himself, we really should create a list of things that would make him go "wee-wee".
Let's see...
1) A smooch from Samu or Fatu
2) A glare from Opie
3) Anthony grinning manically at him.
4) Fez approaching him, shirtless with a razor.
5) Eddie Trunk telling Al that anthrax is in the WNEW studio - not knowing that Eddie meant Scott Ian's band...

IB - you sure Bon Jovi's appaearance isn't a repeat? We've had two live SNL's in a row, and AFAIK, Bon Jovi's got nothing to plug AND they appeared last season...
