I have a temp assignment in Lyndhurst NJ working for the Altman Group,
and I need to drive to it since the buses in NJ stop late at
night. My shift is 4pm-11pm and the last busto the PA is I
think 11:08, but it's really cutting it close with the distance from
the building I'm in to the stop. I go into Manhattan via the 59th
Street Bridge (it's free and closer to my house) and take the Lincoln
tunnel to Jersey. What's the best entrance to the tunnel to use
in the afternoon? Last week I took 11th down to the tunnel, but
Friday I was cought in traffic for a long time (and ended up 45 minutes
late to my job). Does anyone know if the 9th Ave entrance is better to
take? or is the one I sue now the better one?

I've done driving related work most of my life, which is how I became a fan of certain radio shows.

And if I've learned anything, its there are no good routes. it'll be good one day and suck the next.

Pete your best job is to do learn the traffic reports. I would say the 9th Ave, is fairly quick. Or you could also drive down 33rd or 34th and pick up the tunnel from the extentions off of those roads.

You could also take the Holland and the GWB to get to Lyndhurst. If you need directions from those connections PM me and I would be happy to share them with ya.
