Maybe I don't hate children, but I hate all the trouble they cause. I just noticed I have to pay taxes so that some snot nosed kid who doesn't want to go to school has to. I have been doing my part to keep from making kids, but I have to pay for other peoples mistakes. Pay for your own damn kids to go to school and let me keep my money so I can buy cigarettes and hookers. They're also too fuckin loud. We should have kids only water fountains and bathrooms. Vote for me for president!

I feel as you do, but then I take comfort in the fact that paying for other people's kids is still cheaper than having to pay for my own.My co-worker has 4 daughters. That's 4 college educations AND 4 weddings he has to pay for.  Poor bastard...

to kinda put it in perspective...i don't have kids, although i love the practice of making them.but the people in power, whether it be the government, big corporations, take your pick...they want you to not care about anyone but yourself.  they don't want you to actually care about your neighbor, or kids that aren't yours, or people you don't know.if we started doing that then we could join together and start to make real change.  but they won't let that happen, and not caring about other people will continue their efforts.i don't have kids, but i'll pay for them to go to school and whatnot because i do love humans, regardless of thier flaws and how much they might not have any affect in my life.did i just get too intense?  sorry, i'll stick to my anchorman jokes.  how now brown cow

I hate the fact that my tax dollars go to schools and shit when I don't have kids--in fact, I think you should be able to direct your tax dollars to where you want. I'd be more than willing to pay my huge share of taxes--maybe even more--if I got to pick where my dollars went. Parents can direct their dollars to schools. I'll direct mine to animal shelters and shit I feel worthy.

Theres no special plan, just eliminate public schooling. Let schools be run privately like a business. Smart kids could possibly get scholarships. The main thing is that the government can't make anything work. If schools were privatized, people would have a choice among many schools and shitty ones would get no business. Any further questions?

It costs about $7500/year to put a kid through public school. It
costs about $25,000/year (low estimate, i think) to put someone in
prison. And education is an investment; well-educated people help our
economy grow, are less likely to commit violent crime and have deviant
children. The list goes on and on. There are about 60 million kids
between 5 and 20 years old who earn money for another 40+ years after
finishing school. They pay it back.

Third world countries don't have public education because everyone there is poor.  Who would pay for it?  Certainly not the people who make 3cents a day.  The government is also often corrupt, but corruption and no public schooling don't have to go hand-in-hand.And to answer the question of what to do with people who can't afford private school.  There's two answers:  After you eliminate public school, you pay a lot less in taxes... thus, you have a lot of money left over.And then there's a cool thing called: charity for people who cant afford it.  It works, trust me

when the government does this, it's a terrible thing. Nevermind the
fact that teachers are one of the lowest paying jobs requiring a 4-year
degree or that you get a lot of effiencies from building and
transporting children to neighborhood schools. If you tried to
implement universal private schooling, you would end up modelling it
after our current system. Unless you were hoping to maintain things
like class and gender inequality.

I have a fairly simple example of why schools would be run better if the government didn't run them. The US Postal Service is a part of the federal government. Anyone that works there will tell you that it has shitty management. I've heard of people that just don't bother going to work for weeks at a time and they don't get fired. They can't seem to get anything right. UPS is a similar company even though mail is not involved. I have never heard of anyone complaining about UPS. The difference is that people can actually get fired. It's time to get rid of your socialist agendas and help make this country great.

What do you do when you all you have is a P.O. box for an address? Why
is it better to throw away something and replace it rather than
introducing transparency and accountability? If a business has lousy
management practices, they'll have to cleary demonstrate, "Look we've
changed how we operate!" every quarter to maintain investor confidence.
Why not demand that of your government?

I do not send mail thru
the UPS because there is no other mail service. With private
enterprise, you have alternatives, but not with the government. That's
why monopolies are illegal. Competition is what makes businesses create
better quality things. How in the hell can you demand that the
government do a better job? You can't, and don't give me that get out
and vote bullshit.

I'm not really opposed to "privatized schools". I'm against having NO public money for schools. With privatized schools, the education is provided by cororations, but the state sitll funds them. People who don't have children will still need to pay taxes to fund privatized schools.If you think there is a potential system, where people who don't have children don't pay for education, then you're just plain nuts. What next... people who don't own cars don't pay for roads?  People who's homes don't burn or have medical emergencies, don't pay for fire and rescue services? There are things that we all pay for that we wish we didn't have to pay for.
