202 show schedule sucks [Archive] - RonFez.net Messageboard

Is anyone else having this problem? I've yet to listen to the show on XM, its on from 11-2  which is during working hours and then from midnight -3 which is when most pple are sleeping. i could understand the back to back o and a replays but take out the 2 worst of hours and start the ron and fez replay at 10pm which is a much more reasonable hourim ready for the next 20 posts telling me to get a myfi, its a good idea but after i spent so much getting the equipment im not really in the modd to spend another 200 $

I spent a sh!t load of money when O/A came to XM .... I saw the hours for RF and went and bought a MiFi .... Simple as that .. Yea it sucks... but we're fans, right? I work all day and listen to OA on the way home and RF on playback I thought the second show was much better then the first.... any thoughts?

I'm a bit of a scientist myself, and I believed I've solved the master computer problem.  Break a show into two pieces.  Have part 1 one run until midnight.  Run a lame promo for Indy racing or something.  Start part 2 after midnight.  Problem solved.  XM owes me.

I have both, but I've only used TotalRecorder to record the show, and it works pretty well.  Audacity is free, while Total Recorder costs 11 or 12 dollars to get the full version, which is a factor to consider.

I gotta say, RON AND FEZ are a very important part of XM 202 and if RON AND FEZ want to have the 7pm slot they should get it.. HAs anyone spoke to RON AND FEZ and asked them what time "THEY" would most want? Just curious. I personally loved the 7-11 slot.

they will not give R&F 7-11pm...because XM IS A NATIONAL
PLATFORM, AND XM WANTS O&A ON AT BOTH MAJOR DRIVETIMES ACROSS THE
NATION, THAT'S WHAT THEY (XM) PAID FOR WHEN THEY GOT O&A!!! how
hard is it to understand?!?!?!!?! Maybe if O&A do take over ch.
152 like it's rumored, MAYBE ron and Fez's replay could get a prime
spot on there, but then again, would XM really want the two shows
"competing" at the same time, since other time zones would be listening
at the shows at the same time like they were both live?

The only thing I have to go on is what everyone else has to go on, which is what they have said or hinted on the air. From that, remembering last year when they wanted the 11am-3pm slot on WJFK (between Stern and D&M) they gave the impression that they really wanted to move from nights.With being a national show now, however, much has changed - as everyone has said, 7-10 pm show on the east coast is 3-6pm on the west coast, which I'm sure they would love, but it would (again, as everyone has said) not seem likely because O&A have that locked up.I loved the night shows - it seems natural. However, I have to imagine that a 7-11 timeslot would suck if you have a family, or even family and friends that you never get to see or do things with during the week. And not only do they have their nights free again, but they have them free - and in New York City.

Why can't there be east coast shows/DJ's and west coast shows/DJ's?One of my biggest gripes with "old radio" is how they were killing the "local sound."  XM is doing the same thing by trying to cover ALL parts of the country with the same select few talk shows.Let local variety live!  VIVE LA DIFFERENCE!  National radio shows are dull and lifeless, and they need to die.

That's what I had hoped sat radio would have brought - new outlets for local shows. They seem to be going in the other direction, and just concerned about scooping of exclusive shows - usually by celebs.
