You need to have superior self control to adequately deal with the condition. I do not posses this personal quality. I do what I need to get by, and that&rsquo;s about it. I&rsquo;ve had several wake -up calls, but maybe I can use Mr. W. as further motivation to get it right.</font></p><p><font face="times new roman,times,serif" size="1">God bless the researchers and pharmaceutical companies trying to make a difference.</font></p><p><font face="times new roman,times,serif" size="1">And God bless Mr. W.</font></p></font>

<p>who is Mr W?</p><p>=</p><p>Ahhh gotta edit coz I didnt see T was referring to Mr. Whatley; but Bill Wilson was one of the co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous; members of AA sometimes refer to the group as 'friends of Bill W.'</p><p>=</p><p>Torker; I just got back from the MD; yes, as soon as the show ended yesterday I called my doc and said, lets check it all out. Long story short; he and I are still wondering why I am</p><p>1. Still Alive<br />2. Non-Diabetic</p><p>because my past lifestyle of booze and sugar was begging, literally begging for Diabetes. He says I am very lucky to have good genetics, and a strong heart; but while I am 42, we acknowledge there are parts of me that are as a 50 or 60 year old. This is natural, this is expected, and you do what you do...</p><p>The warning siren on Diabetes can not be said strongly enough. Blowhard said it better then I could ever hope to yesterday on-air; if you're over, say 30, eating bad, drinking a lot, and not exercising regularly; you're beging to get Diabetes; begging.</p><p>Wikipedias article on Diabetes states that the number of peeps with the Big D will Double by 2025.</p><p>Hang in there, Torker!</p><img src="http://members.aol.com/miketeachr/esig" border="0" />
