So I'll admit it, I'm a greedy bitch at work when it comes to Christmas presents.  I'm an assistant and I work for over 50 people.  Myself and the other assistant have been excitedly waiting for the FedEx delivery every day this week and the clock is ticking for presents before XMas.  So far:<ul><li>Large box of Spa products </li><li>Multiple boxes of candy, w/ 1lb Godiva box the best</li><li>$50 Target Card </li><li>2 Bottles of wine</li><li>Cookie gift basket from hotel I do business with</li><li>Nice XMas ornament</li></ul>It has turned out that the lowest level people have given the best gifts so far.  Remember your assistants at Christmas time!!!!  What, if anything, do you get from your boss at Christmas?  My actual boss has not given me anything yet.

Here is why I don't call myself a secretary.  We have admin assistants here, and secretaries.  Secretaries answer the phone, send faxes, write letters, handle the mail, etc.  I prepare the budget, run sales reports, do bonus analysis, prepare presentations, plan meetings, etc.

The last time someone asked me to make coffee here, I laughed at them.  Now, upon presentation of a good Christmas gift, they shall get all the coffee they desire.

For my boss I got her a gift certificate to some food catalog she wants to try. she had mentioned it a few weeks ago. For my secratary I got her a bed and bath gift card, and a candle.  So far this year from my side job of tutoring, I got a nice bottle of wine and 50 dollar American Express Gift Card.

I got another Best Buy gift card from my job which stickyfingers will probably try to steal from me in poker again by pretending he doesn't have the fourth king when three come out on the flop. ASSHOLE!

Do you have an office, a cubicle or sit at a reception type desk? Why did they ask for coffee? I'm in an office with another assistant.  We work for the Sales Field, so my bosses are not in the office.  One of them was visiting and asked me to make some coffee.  I directed him to the empty coffee pot in the kitchen and showed him the coffee filters and bags of coffee.

my direct boss gave me South Park Season 1 and Star Wars episode 3. Nothing from VP or Director.  and nothing from the company of course.  for bring one of the largest book sellers you wouldnt think they would be cheap oh but they are.

I work 2 twenty an hour a week jobs, so I have too sets of coworkers and bosses...* Tea * Wreath * Wine * Champagne (big ass bottle too!) * Cookie * Cake (big ass cake too!) * Gormet carmel popcorn * Candy * Coffee Warmer * Movie ticketsI ain't complaining.

My office just had a chinese grab bag. The managers all bought presents. Some crappy, some great. Everybody had to pick a number out of a hat. And then the lowest number (1) has to pick a present. The next person can either take the person's present, or pick one of their own. The higher the number you picked, the better off you are, because you can pretty much take anybody's present. If your present got taken away, you can pick another unwrapped gift. I was #18 out of 43. I originally picked the 40 year old virgin dvd and a bunch of scratch offs, but somebody took it from me and won $15 from the scratch offs, and I ended up with scattegories. A couple of people got cash. One person got a george foreman grill and another got a nice poker chip set.I've gotten a nice bottle of wine, a visa gift card for $50, was taken out for a nice lunch, and got hooked up with a nice bonus, raise, and now commission plan from my boss.

i work in corporate gifting ... i spend six weeks making sure people get all their gifts from employers, supervisors, vendors/suppliers and other direct reports ...i get squat: no bonus and no tokens of appreciation ...dems the breaks

Well I am a government pig.............we are not even allowed to ethically take anything that has a value of over 10 dollars.  So, they gave us Monday off and that is what we get.Merry Christmas.

I got a carton of cigarettes. The boss grabbed me and said "Hey. Smoke up Johnny." actually our company sends out an e-mail letting us know that instead of a christmas bonus they are giving money to charity. not that it means much to me but i've been with employers that gave good bonuses and some that gave small bonuses and regardless of how small a bonus is it is always appreciated 'much' more than nothing...

My bosses boss took the whole office out for a party at a bar/resturant.  Free drinks and food for 5 hours!  Today the supervisor got us 4 pizzas and then we also get gift baskets from all the sales rep's and tons of cake and shit shows up.  My company seems to fatten us up as gifts!  A gay guy in my office takes it upon himself to buy everyone gifts every Christmas for some reason, even though no one gets him anything.  He got me a $25 gift card from Target.  I have him some eggs from my chickens.  The office use to have a Chris Kringle things a few years ago, but someone made an "issue" and they stopped.

I give my employees an extra weeks pay. And a card thanking them for all the help all year long. They usually give me a shirt I'd never wear, and I for some silly reason I do.

The owner of the place, where I work gave us the regular Christmas bonus. I was happy/surprised. He recently became the full owner, and his finances are hurting. He nailed down my company loyalty with that one. Thanks boss!!!
