5 blades?  I'm sorry, there's no way there's an appreciable difference from every other high end razor.  Overrated and overrpriced crap.  This razor is only for those people who buy into every shaving gimmick out there.  It's all about adding bells and whistles to attract the consumers who have to have the newest model, even if it really isn't better than the 3 blades models.

Sorry. I am still using the BULK pack of Sensor Excel I got on e-bay 3 years ago!200 2-blades for $5 plus shipping. I expect to be done by Memorial day, then I can move on to the 8 blade technology.

Sorry. I am still using the BULK pack of Sensor Excel I got on e-bay 3 years ago!200 2-blades for $5 plus shippingi use the Sensor Excel as well and that was a HUGE savings. i buy a 25 pak at Sam's for 28 bucks.All you need is two blades, the closest shave you're gonna get is when you shave downward and then upward on your skin.  If the 5 blades last at least three times as long as the two blades then 'maybe' it's worth it but i haven't met any blades that were really any good after two to three shaves...

I also got the Fusion, it works very well. Better than my sensor excel, and better than my mach 3 turbo.

I am a complete sucker for any type of new shaving gadget. I have a Mach3, a Mach3 Turbo, an M3 Power and tomorrow being payday, you can bet your sweet ass that I'll be stopping at CVS on my way home to pick up my Fusion. I'm actually excited; I have very few passions: the Jets, R&F, Harry Potter, the poetry of E.E. Cummings and a good fucking shave.

I do have to be picky when it comes to razors, as my face nicks easily. I have found however, that the generic knock-off of Schick's 3 blade disposible is perfect. It actually shaves closer than the Schick (though it doesn't last as long), and costs about buck each. I get at least 6 shaves out of each one.

Yeah I just tried it and although I am not impressed, it was still a
good shave.  I also buy into the shaving gimmicks.  I like
the flashy packaging...i'm such a fag.

edit: and there was nothing better than getting your hair edged and the hair on the back of your neck shaved off with the straight edge. today my barber/stylist wendy uses the electric buzzer thingy.  I've been going to these Russian haircutters on Hempstead Turnpike for years who shave the back of your neck with the straight edge. It's awesome.

I got a fusion this weekend this weekend and I gotta say it's a very smooth shave.  And that top blade was excellent for edging the beard and sideburns.

I used the fusion for the second time this morning. I love this thing. Anyone who wants to call it a gimmick or bullshit clearly hasn't tried it. If the thing works very well and gives a smooth shave than what is gimmick about it? I find that practically with one stroke with this thing I'm able to shave my face clean, which is good for me since I have sensitive skin. If I have to shave multiple times in the same area it usually leaves my face feeling raw. Not with this, nor do I feel like this with the Mach3 Turbo or M3 razor actually, though I'm happy with this.

So far i used it twice and it does give you a very nice shave, and i have fucking sensitive fairy skin on my neck, i really only bought it because it has Mets colors but it works very well.

I tried it and you are wrong about everything except the fact that it is overpriced. Much better than my 3 bladed razor, but I probably won't buy refills for the thing until the price goes down. I still have tons of Mach-3 refills left.

riddle me this my five blade friends...the first two blades are most likely gonna wear down before the last two or three. now you're gonna have a razor with two bad and two to three pretty good ones. the only problem is when you shave it doesn't seem you can avoid having the first two bad ones scrape your skin first...maybe they should come out with removable blades and you can move the sharper ones down?i'm off to the invention thread...

I find I get a better result regardless of what I use if I shave in the shower. Kind of the same effect as the hot towel at a barber shop. Never got a nick or razor burn doing it this way.My girlfriend thought it was weird at first, but then I pointed out that she spends all that time shaving in the shower.
