so you don't have to pay the 25 bucks to get in?

will there be no food and loud music again?

the
Website for McFadden's says"Attire: Casual but Neat" does that mean
it's a dress code so i think that means half you guys can't get in

April 1st?

That old gag?

I suppose Eve "Jan Brady" Plumb and Andre the Giant will be there too.

Yea that's how I took this party. A few people who didn't get the gag will show up to the place and be standing around, waiting for anyone they recognize from the show or board to come in, but they never will because they've been fucking had.

And why is EVERY Ron and Fez event in the city on a Saturday?

Neither Ron or Fez drink anymore. Maybe we should hang out at the ballet like girls.

Hey, I'll be in NYC then... Look forward to meeting any other lurkers and weblebrities willing to brave McFadden's.

And the 31st is the first anniversary of Mitch Hedberg's death, (miss Mitch), and it's also Fez Marie's birthday, right? Big weekend.

Regards, Badinia

This is only the second Ron and Fez event since they came to XM. They had the B.B. King's Meet N Greet on Friday, September 9 - a friday. And the April 1 bar gathering - their first satuday event.

The X-Mas party was not a R&F event, it was completely run and organized by RF.Net, that they were invited to and chose to promote.

How do you keep getting these awesome "open bar" deals in NYC AND on
Saturday nights?!?!?! I went to the last event (Calico Jacks)
with the same exact deal and take it from me, you CAN't go wrong.
Well worth the money.

I'll most likely attend. Now I just have to convince Moe why he should go, wish me luck!

Why do I get the feeling "UnHallowed" will be performing (soon to be announced) elsewhere on April 1rst?
Remember, remember the fifth of November
The gunpowder treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

The website is called WASHINGTONDELUXE.COM. For anyone interested, the buses are comfortable and either go directly to NY or make only 1 stop on the way there. You also get to see a movie on the way up. Not bad for $35.00. I know When I can't find a ride up that's how I go to the city.

Plus the NY drop off can't be beat. The only real negative is that you do have to get there early to make sure you have a seat, since nothing is guarenteed - even if you buy ahead of time. A little frustrating, especially since they don't have comfortable seating/waiting (ok, that's a second negative).

Always a pleasure to see familiar faces and to meet new ones.

Too too many to mention by name so i'll just say "I love all the board peoples"...

Had to be a good boy being i was my own designated driver so i just stopped in good o'l Jersey City and had my 3 wines and my calamard', then it was hit the tunnel and fuck with the cabbies. This one turban wearing mofo tried inching me out of my own lane, so sorry budday! So he starts babbling something and i start babbling back, and i mean babble 'i made up some kind of language'

He's in the far right lane and i'm next to him and as we leave the light he thinks he's gonna make the move and get my lane, i don't think so. I think i was able to keep it to under a dozen, ewwwww!

The second contest was to see how long you could stand in the backroom and not break a sweat. Man, I was going to be alot more brave at this party than I was at the Xmas Party, but then I got fucked last minute by the babysitter! Hopefully another party comes up sooner than 4 months from now.

just wanted to post a couple of my bonehead questions i always seem to come up with especially for RnF occassions...

1. at Calico Jack's i'm talking to Gvac and he's telling me about an "originals" band he's playing in and he made it clear they were an "originals" band and then goes on to describe how their style of music is similar to some metal bands and names a few. so the bonehead question i come up with is "hey, do you do any Alice In Chain songs?" DUH!

2. last night someone was talking to me and Little John about how his commute from Queens was a bit hectic. so the bonehead question i come up with is "oh yeah, what tunnel did you take?" DUH

That was a pretty fun time last night. I couldn't believe how many people came out. When I first got to the bar, I was shocked at how many people were there at 9pm. Unheard of in NYC. The bar was great, lots of good taps, and I got to talk to fez for a bit. He's a really nice guy. I thought the shout-outs from the dj were hilarious. The part about jimmy being a fancy man was funny. I had a friend with me who has never heard the show, he asked me, "who the hell is the nature boy, and why does everyone keep going 'Whew!!'" good times...

To me, this party was a HUGE letdown! I found out I actually like Chickenhawk! FUCK! What's next, a handjob from Waddles? Or perhaps I'll buy a bulldog from BDC? Seriously, fuck me!

They are the best reps for Washington, which is odd since one is actually from Baltimore and another is from Bronx (by way of Llanview).

Man, seeing all the people who responded to this thread (as well as the pictures from the other McFadden's thread) it seems like there were tons of people there that I didn't get a chance to meet. After battling my way to the bar for a scotch, I downed it as fast as humanly possible to head for the outdoors. My disdain for crowds and heat got the better of me, it seems. Luckily there was almost as large a crowd on the sidewalk as in the bar, so I did get to meet quite a few new friends as well as old ones.

With any luck, one of these years I'll be able to put a face to the screen name of most of the members here.

And I couldn't agree more with Curtoid's assessment of Bobo and Kathleen being wonderful reps for the D.C. fans. Great, warm people who make you feel like you've known them for years after a 5 minute chat.

I'll see you all at the next Ron and Fez gathering. Here's hoping it's somewhere spacious, like the Grand Canyon.

I had a good time. I saw alot of people, and enjoyed hanging with some of them. I got a a picture with the birthday boy. I got to walk from 42nd to Sullivan, part of the way bare foot. I had a turkey and swiss pita sandwich sitting in the back of my car till Thursday. A good night indeed.
